How far into Revelation are we now?

The article gives an explanation for this. Beasts can refer to kingdoms or their rulers. What you keep saying requires a humongous time gap that no one would understand from flow of the text. I would ask yourself where you're getting that idea from.

How far into Revelation are we now?

I may not ascribe to everything this writer views on eschatology, but what he says about this topic is useful. Also, consider the 4th kingdom of Daniel 2 being ancient Rome. I think it all fits very well. The Beast of Revelation   |  Partial Preterism  |  The Preterist Archive

How far into Revelation are we now?

Good points to think on. As for Roman persecution, they persecuted both Jews and Christians. But in Revelation I think the focus is on the Church's experience in light of being persecuted by Rome and the harlot that rides it, apostate Israel, which the beast turned against and burned. Rome's...

How far into Revelation are we now?

Well, "soon" I think is a little different than saying an exact number. But anyway, are you suggesting the 1000 years did begin and end during the medieval period? That's interesting.

How far into Revelation are we now?

Chapter 20, the "thousand" years. Symbolic number representing a long time. Very symbolic book. No need to assume a halt to such in ch. 20. Same kind of symbolic language found in Old Testament for past fulfilled prophecies. Revelation begins by saying they are things that must take place...

When do the saints inherit the kingdom?

4th kingdom I believe was Rome. It seems there is a present and consummate reality of being in the kingdom of God. We are already in Christ and He presently reigns seated at the Father's right hand. Then at the resurrection is the new heaven and earth.

    "When will these things happen?"

Still think info about Titus and his army is the better. The parallel account in Luke says when they see Jerusalem surrounded (before the AOD) they need to leave. History shows Christians did leave before it's invasion (Hmm, because they believed this prophecy not to be distant future?)...

    "When will these things happen?"

Funny you said this as I was about to address it. Some suggest it refers to the sacrilege some Jews set up in anticipation of the Romans coming. There's a lot to read about from Josephus and some others. It was a pretty crazy time.

    "When will these things happen?"

Titus' and his army's actions when they invaded and destroyed the city and temple. Not all too different from when Antiochus Epiphanes came to the first temple. The Romans set up their idols when they came too.

    "When will these things happen?"

I don't think it's unreasonable to think He answered each question. I'm not saying in what order. My point is, the questin about WHEN the temple would be destroyed, being that it logically would be covered somewhere on His response, the answer must be the parts I've emphasized: "WHEN you see . ...

    "When will these things happen?"

Notice in the following parallel accounts two things: Jesus says the temple will be destroyed, and then the disciples ask when it will happen and what signs that it’s about to occur: "Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts...

Amillenialism and the nation of Israel

I think it's important to re-emphasize at this point that I believe no matter one's view on current national Israel, whether it's a fulfilled (or unfolding) prophecy or not, only faith in Christ will save any individual.

Amillenialism and the nation of Israel

Just seems weird that all people would have some physical lineage to Abraham. I've always seen the "multitude" to mean just many. But hey, ok, maybe.
