I need advice - struggles with sin

I’m so glad I wrote this post. I swear you’re like an answer to a prayer man, let’s keep this thing going. I appreciate you taking the time to explain this stuff to me I am greatful I must say though, it’s a little disappointing to me that you say your job weakened your walk with God. I’m sure...

    Where Arminianism Fails.

Calvinism always made absolutely no sense to me based on the fact it makes God the author of evil. All the time I hear someone talk about Calvinism they can never reconcile Gods sovereignty with the evil that occurs In the world. On Calvinism how is anything you do consequential if God just...

I need advice - struggles with sin

I’m pretty sure it’s this sin. I don’t really have a regretful past. I feel like this sin blinds me and makes me more isolated from people. People who could be the answers to my prayers. people who I could be helping. It makes me very apathetic and volatile which is the the opposite of loving...

I need advice - struggles with sin

Hay man, thanks for this. I enjoyed reading your post a lot, it was pretty profound and gives me a couple of things to dwell on. I liked that you shared your personal journey too, that’s cool. I have a few questions if you don’t mind. So when you finally committed yourself to Christ—in what way...

I need advice - struggles with sin

Depending upon how you look at a sin I think certain things can be a perception, but in my case what I’m doing is clearly wrong. It’s not as bad as murder or rape, but it’s still bad nonetheless because I feel it separates me from God. It might as well be a form of idolatry even though it isn’t...

I need advice - struggles with sin

But how do you get to the place were you’re ready to commit to Jesus? I think most people just say a prayer exclaiming their committed, but it really doesn’t mean anything because they don’t know what their talking about. So you can’t go to church unless you’re committed? I miss going to the...

This does help, thank you. I’ll try my best to tuck this away and remember it.

I need advice - struggles with sin

I agree with this, but what does being born again actually mean? Does it mean I go to a church and have someone perform a baptism and then, I’m saved? Is it saying a prayer to God in the name of Jesus asking him to come in my life and take over and then I’m saved? I honestly don’t think so. I...

I need advice - struggles with sin

Hello, I’ll just come right out and say I’m not a Christian, but I feel connected to Christ and I just need some spiritual advice. Just hear me out please. I hope this post doesn’t get deleted I didn’t know what category to put it in. The only reason why I say I’m not Christian is because I...

Ask a Christian philosopher a question

Btw the issue of omniscience and freewill is not even really relevant to the discussion. But sovereignty, omniscience and freewill are problematic in conjunction.

Ask a Christian philosopher a question

Btw, there may very well be answers to this question, but perhaps there all inadequate.

Ask a Christian philosopher a question

"Sovereign means that GOD is the One Who does what He pleases. It also means that God is "in control" but not necessarily "controlling" us like puppets. IOW, you are a little creator in God's universe... but God is in control of your surrounding circumstances...and God as Owner of the universe...

Ask a Christian philosopher a question

If we're free, then how is God truly sovereign over all? If God is sovereign over my choices, then how am I free? If God isn't sovereign over my choices, then how is he really sovereign over all? For either view being true the implications are less then palatable

    Looking for some Christian friends

You know what I love disproportionately in comparison to anything else? CANDOR I have this very unhealthy infatuation with truth. So much so that I'm a bit of a [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]. Truth for me is a paramount virtue, so even if it sometimes requires pain, I take it in anyways. So let's be candid. No I...
