    The Fall of Babbylon

Of course it's my opinion. But it's opinion based upon what the Bible says and does not say. It's your opinion that Babylon cannot be Jerusalem. same principle. We all have opinions. And it's not Jerusalem being accountable for every person slain in human history. You might (or might not)...

    The Fall of Babbylon

It means the blood of those slain in this battle is upon their hands. A very clear and Biblical principle. e.g., God sets his people his watchmen, whom God holds responsible for the slain if they do not warn the people of danger, and the people be slain. For example in Ezekiel. It's not hard to...

Five are Fallen, one was, and one is yet to come. Actually, Six are fallen now.

    The Fall of Babbylon

John had nothing to do with it except to move his hand to write. The Holy Bible is divinely inspired "Word of God," not something John thought up. The question then is not why would John, but why would God call Jerusalem babylon. The answer is, the same reason he calls her Sodom, Egypt, a...

    The Fall of Babbylon

Ga 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. 26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. 27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that...

    The Fall of Babbylon

Excellent point. The scriptures are replete with examples showing mystery Babylon speaks of Jerusalem. But does it refer to Spiritual Jerusalem or the middle eastern Jerusalem? This is where the mystery comes in. There are two Jerusalem's spoken of in scripture.

Reading the Bible is one thing, but comprehending what we read is another. I would much rather read 1 chapter carefully in order that I comprehend what I read, than 20 chapters just as a reading exercise.

    The Fall of Babbylon

Great point! This city babylon has Jerusalem written all over it. And have you compared the writings against Jerusalem in 2nd Chronicles? 2Ch 21:11 Moreover he made high places in the mountains of Judah, and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication, and compelled Judah...

    The Fall of Babbylon

Sounds very much like Jerusalem who believes that she shall never be in the condition of a widow. That is, without Husband. She says in her heart is an illustration of her estimate of herself. And her declaring that she sits a queen, indicative of her belief in ruling (albeit, ilegally) and her...

I see your point. Actually, I use a different schedule of reading, from years ago by Daniel W. Whittle which uses both the Old and New Testament each day. I get a lot out of reading both Old and New Testaments in the morning and Evening fashion he scheduled each day.

The problem (as I see it) is that you cannot "rightly" understand the New Testament without reading and considering the Old Testament. I think it is both wise and prudent to have the old Testament revealed in all it's glory by the New. The old adage goes: "The Old Testament Concealed, in the...

    What is the Rapture?

The rapture is when Christ returns on the clouds of glory and Christians are "Caught Up" to be with Him in the air. What separates many Christians is not what is the rapture, but "when" is the Rapture. My belief is that it is after the great Tribulation period. Others think it is before the...

    The Fall of Babbylon

The one which can be supported by the scriptures is correct. Yes, I know everyone says their interpretation is (as did those in Jesus day) but the fact is, only the truth is really supported. In other words, the fact that the Scribes and Pharisees quoted scripture didn't mean they had support...

    The Fall of Babbylon

The first part of your statement I agree with totally. But I disagree with the last part. I think that we're fully intended to understand it now. In fact, the more I study it, the more I realize that we're intended to understand that there is something seriously wrong in the Churches today and...

    The Fall of Babbylon

Is the prophecy of the fall of Babylon as recorded in Revelation chapter eighteen, really symbolizing the fall of the harlot Church, or the same as Revelation chapter seventeen? I have come to believe that it is. The falling away, or great forsaking of God spoken of in 2nd Thessalonians...
