    Hell

"How is it possible to justify the existence of an eternal place of torment?" Simple - It isn't. I struggled with this for years. I heard all the usual answers - the same ones being trotted out here in this forum. They never made any sense to me. After 4 years of full time study, I finally...

    Hell

I believe that hell is to be in the presence of God, but hating it. Wanting to escape, but being unable to run away. Can we imagine anything more appalling than that a man should…choose to contradict God, should choose to depart from God, and yet be unable to depart, because in spite of all...

    Evangelical Universalism

A more true word has never been spoken  We have been born into the sin of Adam. No choice. No free will. It is a little bemusing though, why God would choose to not give a hoot about our free will when Adam plunged us into death, and suddenly become obsessed by giving us our free...

    Universalism and 2 thessalonians

I have read it. It is a wonderful little book. I have also read his "A short discourse on hell", also excellent. I am a big fan of his. :)

    Universalism and 2 thessalonians

And what would St. John say about your fiance? 1Jo 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God. 1Jo 4:16 We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and...

    Universalism and 2 thessalonians

To those of you who are literalists - are not you concerned that you might be wrong? Go to any website for ex-Christians and see what they are saying. You will see that one of the main reasons for people leaving the faith, or not becoming Christian in the first place, is the sheer inconsistency...

Aionion is not Eternal, Everlasting or Forever

And that is supposed to invalidate it? Here's one: It's only literalists that need to twist a language so much that an adjective has nothing to do with it's noun! All to suit a pre-conceived idea.

    Blasphemy against our Father

Ok, now that's a shocker! Grace ends?

    Blasphemy against our Father

If a person gets one thing wrong, does that mean everything they have ever said is wrong? If that be so, nobody would listen to anyone!

    Blasphemy against our Father

Parents let go, but not forever. You can't let go forever, letting go is a one time thing. You let something go, and maybe it stays gone forever, or maybe it returns. Does God let go and then turn His back forever, or does He await our return, for as long as it takes?

    Blasphemy against our Father

I must disagree with you here Dan. You really need to read at least one book, cover to cover, from Tom Talbot to understand his view. Bless you, Pete

Because, after all, David Pawson couldn't be wrong

    Free Choice

If I am saved because I have made the right choice and my neighbor is not saved because she has not made the right choice, then how can it not be merited. I earned my salvation. Not by loving folks, or giving my money away or being a missionary - no. I earned it by making the right choice - my...
