It's not the only reason anyway. I just feel like there's this immense power imbalance that is ripe for abuse. They can for just about any reason decide I should be hospitalized, perhaps for the rest of my life. I'm honestly scared of them.

Well they specifically stated that all converts are mentally ill. Anyone who doesn't stick with the religion they were raised with falls into this category.
