    The Unforgiveable Sins

Not to get nerdy, but you have to look at this passage in the same context as the people around Jesus did when He said it, especially the Pharisees who were supposed to know the scriptures better than anyone else. The Holy Spirit did three big things in the OT: 1. Anointed Kings (i.e. King...

Are we guilty in some way of what we watch or listen to?...

Thanks for the input everybody, I will take all of your input and pray through it and apply it. This thread has run its course, and has been super helpful. God Bless!

Are we guilty in some way of what we watch or listen to?...

You haven’t said anything particularly helpful or encouraging either, unless you count telling us we’re weak and ignorant for believing in God, and that sin isn’t a big deal, and pretty much attacking everything we believe as Christians. Yep, you’ve been super helpful.

Thanks for hijacking the thread Lazarus. Hope you feel like you’ve accomplished something by turning all of the attention on yourself. Some of us like to work through issues in here together as struggling believers and earth travelers, others like you take joy tearing down instead of being...

Are we guilty in some way of what we watch or listen to?...

I’m not sure what I think yet, but thank you for your straight answer. I hope to hear a few more straight answers as thought out as yours.

Immoral is a good qualifier for grace.

So...I take it you’re not a Christian in a Christian forum?

Are we guilty in some way of what we watch or listen to?...

I’m agreeing with everything you say Mr. Sabertooth. My question still hangs out there, though, is one directly guilty in some way of what they watch or listen to even if they don’t necessarily approve of it?

Are we guilty in some way of what we watch or listen to?...

The Bible has some very scary things to say about people who sin on purpose repeatedly, I’m just trying to evaluate if I should feel guilty for something somebody else did that I “approved” of. I work around foul language every day at my job, it’s on TV every time I turn it on to even watch the...

Are we guilty in some way of what we watch or listen to?...

I will say that I didn’t make it very far into the movie before I had to turn it off, my conscience wouldn’t let me keep watching. But I did feel extremely guilty, and I guess that’s where my question is coming from. Did my watching the movie mean I approved of what they were doing and saying...

Are we guilty in some way of what we watch or listen to?...

just to clarify, let’s say I don’t approve of the sin/blasphemy/crime, but I just wanted to watch the movie for the story. Take the Bad Boys movies for example, I love Will Smith, and love his acting, but I knew that this movie had terrible language (frequent GD and saying “Jesus Christ” a...

The stories in the Bible as dark as some of them are, are redemptive, though, right?

Are we guilty in some way of what we watch or listen to?...

I agree with your statement 100%, but what if you did know the movie or music was wrong and turned it on anyway? Where does your ownership of the wrong begin and end?

Are we guilty in some way of what we watch or listen to?...

Hi, the question that I would like y’all’s input on is: If I watch or listen to something that’s plainly sinful, am I guilty of what I watched in some way? For example, if I watch a movie or TV show that has blasphemous language about God in it knowing it was going to be there from reviews...

Anxiety about past sins, need clarity

Thank you, I am struggling with God wanting to forgive me, but I know God loves to forgive. The day I read Hebrews 10:26 my sins became extremely heavy and frightening to me, and I haven’t figured out why that verse set it off if it doesn’t really apply as people have counseled me.
