People Dying to Leave the Libertarian Utopia...

Libertarians are just Marxists on the opposite extreme of the spectrum. Both are represented by anti-socials incapable of understanding the real world but have a desperate desire to impose their values upon the rest of us.

    The changing nature of Globalisation

I don't for a second seek to defend the type of globalization desired by American banking interests. I can assure you that they are the ultimate destructive predators on the planet, with the American people being their primary prey. I would far prefer to subject my children to the tender mercies...

How do we solve the economic crisis?

While I don't have my citations at hand, here is an article with the gist: www.cbpp.org/10-27-08tax.htm The tax foundation is citing statutory, not effective, tax rates.

    The changing nature of Globalisation

How is the USA as a whole one of the biggest beneficiaries? Wages in the USA have declined over the last decade, our manufacturing capacity has been decimated, and we run hundreds of billions in trade deficits yoy making us the world's biggest debtor nation? Globalization has destroyed the USA...

What should we do for the poor in America?

Private recycling companies only handle a tiny fraction of what could be recycled, because only a tiny fraction is profitable. The rest could be handled by laborers employed by the government. In Florida, we use prison labor on roadways. That could be replaced. Harvesting is handled by immigrant...

How do we solve the economic crisis?

The United States actually has the lowest effective tax rate in the industrialized world when you compare corporate earnings to actual tax remittances.

    The changing nature of Globalisation

    1. No. It is, in fact, the worst thing that could ever happen to the USA. 2. Global wage arbitrage. Why pay an American $20 an hour when you can pay a nice Chinese fella $1? 3. a) financial crisis: same as response here: incorrect and ineffectual. b) environment: race to the bottom...

    The War in Iraq

No. It is only ethical to kill when being attacked. Iraq was not attacking anyone, ergo, unethical. Any levels of complexity I might be missing here?

What should we do for the poor in America?

I would pay a minimum living wage, but for adults only. And there is always more work to be done than will ever get done. But you have to provide jobs that are not directly in competition with the private sector. Lots of work needs to be done recycling, picking up litter, harvesting crops...

If you knew God loves you would you still want to sin?

Yes. Yes I would. Quite a bit actually.

    another 700billion?

The alternative is another Great Depression. The 700 bill for the banks was just to pay out the big boys. Now comes the real work.

What should we do for the poor in America?

I'm in favor of the federal government ending welfare (except for the physically/mentally ill) and providing jobs to anyone willing to work. And taxing wealthy people the full amount to pay for it. If you don't want to work, you don't have to. But no government aid whatsoever.

Question: Is Barack Hussein Obama a communsit?

"GIVE ME A BREAK! HE IS A COMMUNIST! Connect the dots...! He is a communist, like it or not." Wow! Haven't posted here in a long, long time. Glad to see the level of discourse hasn't changed a bit.

Where have all the conservatives gone?

I used to consider myself to be a conservative, but sense have found out that I'm really a "librul", (I don't think an atheist could ever be considered a conservative anymore). But I am a lifelong Republican who now votes party line Democrat. Maybe it's time to switch. Somewhere along the line...

    Berkeley unpatriotic as usual

What does supporting military recruitment have to do with patriotism?
