    Does God know/see the future?

The reason that this argument is illogical, is because it implies that God "lacked" something to fufill himself. God is infinite. God is the trinity...the trinity is infinite. By very nature, He is totally complete in himself. He does not "need" anything. Lonliness is a result of sin and...

    I have a question...

Hmmm.... Jesus was brutally flogged with whips that must have torn him to shreds. He was forced to carry his own cross. He had to wear a crown of thorns. I am sure that he was starving and deyhdrated. He was beaten to a pulp. He was then crucified. He was then stabbed in the side with a...

    Does God know/see the future?

If God were a tyrant, then He would force you to choose him against your own will. He would force you to make the descision to do what he says, regardless of what you want. Life apart from God is not fun. Not because God is a evil tyrant that wants to punish people, but because He in himself...

    Does God know/see the future?

This is not correct. God was never lonely. God was never anythign other than perfect. God is completley fufilled in his relationship within the trinity. Why did he create man? Not because he was lonely, but because it was good to do. God doesn't need us. He never needed us.

    Does God know/see the future?

Hi Servant, The debate that Doc, S0ul and I are engaged in is: If God knows the future, why does he create those that are destined for hell. Now, you hold to a calvinsitc view point, which I do not. That would mean that God creates people for the sole purpose of sending them to hell, and...

    Does God know/see the future?

The bible in no place shows God as being an "evil tyrant". Just, yes. Evil? No. God loves everyone. He loves you. He created you for a purpose. He created you in love. He does not want you to reject His love. His purpose in dying was so that you could be perfect, and all that he wants...

    Does God know/see the future?

errrrrrrrrrrrr................... i'm not even going to touch what was said after the following comment: "A person 'chooses' to go to hell, in the same way that a person 'chooses' to be tortured and killed for refusing to submit to the will of an evil tyrant." Evil tyrant? Why? If...

    Does God know/see the future?

Hey Doc, it's really hot here in boston, and i'm getting ready to go see the pops, so i can't spend too much time answering all the points right now. however, there is one thing that i would like to attempt to address: you seem to be asking "why couldn't God create a different world" or...

    Does God know/see the future?

Of course not! :) Perhaps. But we still know that somehow He knows. Even if we can't know How he knows, he knows. He says so. Here is one of the most difficult passages in scripture (in my opinion), but it is very clear: Romans 9:10-22

    Does God know/see the future?

Which is sort of what free-will is about, don't you think? I know that from God's perspective, nothing can seem like free-will, since He knows everything that will happen before it does. God also holds the authority to intervene at whatever time he'd like to over-throw the natural course that...

    Does God know/see the future?

Correct, you overrode my choice. I think this is where our discussion is breaking down. You have not chosen the path for me, I have still chosen that path for myself. you simply allowed it to occur, therefore allowing me to make the choice you already knew I would make. If you overrode...

    Does God know/see the future?

It is not illogical. It is fact. God DID know that souls would go to Hell before He created them. Thats the very definition of knowing everything.
