Greatest Story Ever Told
@Bible Highlighter These are all used incorrectly I think. Two are actually misrepresentations of what we believe.

"call no man father" is massively complicated and I won't bother explaining the whole thing here. Here's an article: Call No Man “Father”?

Christ is the only mediator between God and man, but only in the sense he is the only one who can reconcile us to God. Otherwise it would be unacceptable to pray for other people because that'd be mediating on their behalf. St. Paul talks about praying for others so that's off the table.

For the second Mary was most certainly saved, but she was given the grace to be "saved" from sin in the most sublime manner. Saved can mean being stopped from committing sin before the fact. ( see Jude 1:24)

For confession that's rather simple. John 20: 20-23. Also we believe that Christ forgive the sins through the actions of the priest. The priest doesn't get that power from himself.

In John 6, Christ our Lord says "unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood you will have no life within you." When the people heard this, many left. The Eucharist could not be in all reason be a mere symbol if people left at this message. At the last supper Jesus says "Take and eat this is my body." Not a symbol.

Also at mass, Christ is NOT sacrificed again, at the mass we go back to the sacrifice of Calvary, it is not repeated.

I am not really interested in debating with you. If somebody wants to be Catholic, that is because they are predisposed to wanting to be that way. I am just interested in following the Bible alone because I know it is the only divine document out there that has evidences backing it up that is divine. Catholicism can make no such claim involving their added holy books. There are also many contradictions and problems in Catholicism that have to be explained away in an odd and unusual way that for me is not convincing in any way. No explanation could convince me. It is like trying to explain away gravity. It would make no sense to do that. But people see what they want to see. I simply choose to trust God and His Word alone (for it is the only most logical choice to make). For me: There is so many problems with Catholicism I don't even know where to begin. But I am not here to bash Catholicism. I am here to preach the Word (i.e. the Bible).
