Secondly, bundling up hard working immigrants like cattle and detaining them wherever for some indeterminate period with no contact to family and friends or legal counsel and then sending them out of the country to an indeterminate destination without due process is illegal. And as someone has got into the thick head of the guy in charge that these people are doing work which keeps much of the country running for people like yourself, he is now backing down on those working for various industries. So you've got a piece of work like Miller telling ICE to roll up to schools, churches, car parks etc and just take anyone in who looks like they came south of New Mexico and his boss immediately saying 'Oh, hang on. Maybe that really isn't such a good idea, like everyone has been saying for months'.

These clowns are literally making it up as they go.

Yes, that mirrors my experience. After boot camp, I never marched again in my 4 year term. However, I would have expected "ordinary troop" units would drill prior to a highly visible parade in D.C. Even better, next time, leave them at their duty stations.

Actually it is not. Deportation is what the penalty calls for....they don't send them to jail, or workhouses, they send them back where they came from assuming they go peacefully. What is so terrible about that? Those that ignore their court dates well, or violently resist apprehension what happens to them happens; that falls on them. Follow the process and all will go well.
