Heb 10:4 says" its impossible for the the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins"
So which is it, if the blood of animals can be an atonement for sin, why did Jesus have to die on the cross?
why did Jesus say in John 14:6 " I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me"
If you look up the Hebrew word used for atonement its kaphar, which has its first meaning as to cover. So all it did was cover over their sin it did not make them reconciled to God, that's what Jesus did on the cross, 2 Cor 5:19 In Christ God was reconciling the cosmos to himself.

And I do believe Heb 10:4 and THAT is why the Old Covenant had to be set aside and Eze Chapters 36 and. 37 and 38

explain how Israel will rise again and be Born Again !!
