I don't know who you mean by "us." Conservatives don't want native born citizens to get that money, either.Numerous recent studies estimate the fiscal costs of benefits for illegal aliens.
The CBO estimated that by FY 2034, outlays for “benefits provided to immigrants in the surge population and their children” will total $177 billion. This includes:
The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR)estimates that federal expenditures on illegal aliens in 2023 totaled nearly $66.5 billion. This includes more than $23 billion in federal medical expenditures and $11.6 billion in welfare benefits from Food Stamps, child nutrition, SSI, and other programs.
- $59 billion for Obamacare Premium Tax Credits
- $43 billion for the EITC and CTC
- $40 billion for Medicaid and CHIP
- $15 billion for Food Stamps
- $13 billion for child nutrition programs
- $4 billion for SSI
The Manhattan Institute estimates that that every new illegal immigrant has an average net fiscal burden of about $130,000. The study finds that immigrants without a high school diploma who arrive in the U.S. between the ages of 18 and 24 – the profile “most commonly represented among immigrants who entered the country unlawfully,” – can receive $332,000 in taxpayer-provided benefits over their lifetime, including healthcare and other welfare program benefits. The report also details that “the border crisis is expected to cost $1.15 trillion over the lifetime of the new immigrants who entered the country unlawfully, overstayed a visa, or were paroled.”
The Center for Immigration Studies (CSIS) finds that the 1.1 million illegal aliens granted parole by the Biden-Harris Administration between January 2021 and February 2023 may become “qualified aliens” with a $3 billion per year cost in welfare benefits. An estimated 60% of illegal immigrant householdscurrently use at least one welfare program, with an estimated $5,692 in federal benefits received annually. Some benefits, such as the EITC and CTC, provide an estimated $3.8 to $4.5 billion in outright cash payments to illegal immigrants.

Billions Of Government Benefits For Illegal Aliens - EPIC for America
The open borders policies of the Biden-Harris Administration have caused chaos and encouraged a dramatic increase in illegal immigration. A Costly Surge U.S. Customs and Border Protection recorded 10.8 million encounters with illegal aliens between fiscal years 2021 and 2024. The Congressional...epicforamerica.org
I think they owe us money.

Us = US taxpayers. You are bunching up conservatives into one homogenous group. Most conservatives want services to go to those who need it.I don't know who you mean by "us." Conservatives don't want native born citizens to get that money, either.
As long as they get to decide who needs it--lazy poor people who won't work don't deserve it.Us = US taxpayers. You are bunching up conservatives into one homogenous group. Most conservatives want services to go to those who need it.
I agree with that.As long as they get to decide who needs it--lazy poor people who won't work don't deserve it.
Both parties have the unilateral right to define the groups. The differences between them is that the liberals want the unvetted free for all regardless of need while the conservatives want to limit based on actual need. An able body person that just does not want to work should not be included.Of course. You think you have the unilateral right to define that group as well.
Or maybe she should start taking care of her people by providing for the poor and needy instead of facilitating the human trafficking and exploitation of her people by the cartels to send them to the US. Mexico is a rich nation being raped by a corrupt government. But all you can think of is blaming the current administration? I smell hypocrisy.
Sorry but conspiracy theories are not my thing. I don’t necessarily doubt it but is hard to quantify. However, the corruption of the Mexican government and the human smuggling by cartels at the border are well documented.Stench of American hypocrisy.
Americans have been financing the cartels for decades.
Americans have been arming the cartels for decades.
Americans have been hiring illegal immigrants for decades.
And now the American government proposes a tax on Mexican workers?
I think the cops have a pretty good "quantified" idea of how many illegal drugs we buy and how many of the cartels' weapons are souced in the US.Sorry but conspiracy theories are not my thing. I don’t necessarily doubt it but is hard to quantify. However, the corruption of the Mexican government and the human smuggling by cartels at the border are well documented.
From that perspective you are definitely correct. The US is the main user of drugs from Mexico and the US probably a large supplier of weapons. Both of these are smuggled accross the border.I think the cops have a pretty good "quantified" idea of how many illegal drugs we buy and how many of the cartels' weapons are souced in the US.
From that perspective you are definitely correct. The US is the main user of drugs from Mexico and the US probably a large supplier of weapons. Both of these are smuggled accross the border.
By that rationale, the US is also the main destination for human trafficking ran by the cartels.
So then, you would have to agree that keeping a tight border reduces both.
Not really. Is happening now.Securing a 3,000-mile border is impractical.
Agreed.Instead, we should focus on making it harder for undocumented individuals remain in the United States. Enforcing rules that prevent businesses from hiring undocumented immigrants is crucial but challenging due to our reliance on migrant workers.
Even President Trump, who wants to deport all undocumented immigrants, now wants to make exceptions for some migrant workers and work in the USA. The American economy depends on cheap foreign labor, which is a reality we cannot deny.
The US and their people, us, are reaping tremendous benefits as well off their taxes and labor.Mexico and their people are reaping all the benefits in exchange for the economically inexpensive labor of immigrants, both legal and illegal, so therefore, is THAT moral????
Bus is it moral to do at those relatively inexpensive wages they earn? I think that is a good question to ask whenever a legal OR illegal immigrant doesn't adequately follow our laws or assimilate into cultures of the USA.The US and their people, us, are reaping tremendous benefits as well off their taxes and labor.
That is an entirely different question. My point that the US does benefit stands contrary to your "Mexico and their people are reaping all the benefits..."Bus is it moral to do at those relatively inexpensive wages they earn?
And who gets to judge whether or not a person's assimilation is "adequate"?I think that is a good question to ask whenever a legal OR illegal immigrant doesn't adequately follow our laws or assimilate into cultures of the USA.
They clean our homes, build our houses, harvest our crops, service our vacation destinations, package and prepare our foods and even care for our children.
