How can a person be “born illegally”?
If they are born to people here illegally then the idea is they should not be citizens.

They aren’t. Not sure what they mean either, maybe they meant their parents are in a country illegally.

A Chinese woman who flies to Chicago on Monday, gives birth on Wenesday then flies home to China, neither the mother or baby is under the Jurisidiction of the US goverment.
If the mom shoots a man dead in the middle of Michigan Avenue, we can't arrest her? Nonsense. She is subject to our jurisdiction.

Someone said "if you want to remove and amendment". I said it's not a matter of trying to end/remove it altogether.

Yes, it's a matter of revision, not elimination. What I have been saying is revising an amendment is not the same thing as eliminating an amendment. Am I still wrong?
They still might have a 28th amendment instead of editing the 14th amendment, but either way there would be some process for that you cannot just say the 14th amendment means this now.

Correct -we should enforce and follow the law.
but at this point I am inclined to think for a few reasons that people who have been pulling their weight and whose only crime is being here should have a chance at cititzenship.
They will never, ever have the chance at citizenship if they don't follow the procedure to become one, whose first step is to come in legally.
On the other hand if we simply deport those who have committed major crimes murder, rape things like that then either they will have really gotten away with that and will have more victims back home OR they will come back here as they will not be locked up.
How about deporting them after they served their time?
Just like I believe both Canada and the UK will not deport people to the Uited States if that person is facing the death penalty so yes that means that if I am right then if you murder someone here and make it to Canada the ONLY way you will face the penalty is if the state agrees to not seek the death penalty, so if you just deport someone who has committed a MAJOR violent crime like that then basically there is no penalty for that because they are just released into their home country.
Never heard of such a thing - but what does that have to do with 12.000,000 people who came in illegally?

Birthright citizenship was established by the 14th Amendment, passed by Congress in 1868, which includes a clause reading: “All people born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
Except that was not the intent of the amendment. 'Illegal immigration' did not even exist in 1868. This was because the democratic party of the south refused to accept black voters, calling them 'non-citizens' because of the their recent status as slaves and intended to go no further than that. This so called 'citizenship right for illegal immigrants children' was created by the courts and not the legislature thru 'interpretation'. And as in all court cases precedent can be overturned re: Brown v. Board of Education overturning Plessy v. Ferguson.

If the US can fine and imprison them, then they're under American jurisdiction, er go, Trump's EO doesn't apply to them.
They can also deport them - which is under President Trumps EO

So are you telling me that someone who has worked hard and has been a productive member of soceity should not be allowed the chance to be a citizen? I am too young to remember Reagan, but I do believe he did something like that.

What does that have to do with people being here illegally well if we just deported people who had done major crimes and not give them due process then they could get away with murder and rape because they would just be sent home to not face their sentences. If we deport them after they serve their time great, but that does not change the fact that they are entitled to due process as it relates to that crime.
