Why would you choose to believe a YouTube meme or something that someone told you, over Russell's own words that he studied Christianity and the Bible touched his heart?

There was a time when the public was clueless about what happens in that world. But there's enough information available from people in the industry that sheds light on the truth.

As I stated in the other thread, I don't trust the recent admissions from public figures. I believe they're meant to sway the public and gain their trust on religion.

But there is a big difference between saying "I'm a Christian" or "I live as a Christian" and submitting to full baptism, then talking about how the Bible touched your heart, and you believe the Christian faith to be true.

If we consider that in light of the word and what we've witnessed over the years. These are the people who push the narratives and agendas we're grappling with today. Now they're focused on christians.

Or they could be giving a Christian testimony.
Don't forget, Saul of Tarsus could have said "I am a Christian" just to gain the Apostles' trust; it was the kind-hearted Barnabas (son of encouragement) who vouched for him and said "he's genuine."

That is not proof that he is not genuine.
Come on; it takes time to renounce the world and reject the old life. Who is his mentor? How much teaching and discipling has he had?

He may be a celebrity, but if he is a Christian he is only a babe.

There are greater reasons why I feel as I do in respect to him and others. But there are things I don't discuss on this medium. Deception will reach its height in this period. Remaining close to the Lord and in prayer is the best defense.

Several years ago I spent a year on this text and another that highlighted the necessity for shrewdness and its application in the world. The Holy Spirit reinforced the principle in my quiet time and our discourse until it was ingrained.

I think it's important to seek answers with the Lord in tow and be willing to stand alone if required. Many will be led astray by following others and I will not meet their fate.

I don't know what I "believe" about this; I'm saying that I see no reason at the moment to doubt his personal testimony. We may see in time.
But how awful it would be if he had been genuine, did not receive the support or teaching that he needed and fell away. I'm quite sure there'd be people lining up to say "told you so."
