It’s called decorum. I know that’s a foreign concept on the right these days but it used to be a thing. Either way, she looked in control from the start. He did not.

She showed during the entire debate that she couldn't even control her own emotions or facial expressions and it made her look very silly (especially for a 59 year old woman). Honestly she showed much more restraint than I could have mustered. I’d have been on the floor laughing hysterically while the old man lost his mind at the podium next to me. He looked and sounded truly insane.

The snippet from X makes no sense because the context is missing. I watched the full interview where she is explaining what she calls an opportunity-oriented plan for the economy. And she elaborates by talking about ideas that will address the current state of affairs such as lack of housing and high prices which shows that she perceives it as a problem of supply/demand. But she's also interested in plans that will address future capacity and other future challenges.

I watched the whole interview as well with great difficulty. It's good that she has very smart people like yourself and others I see here in left-wing circles volunteering all their time and energy re-presenting her views.

I can relate more with Trump's "angry and fixated" demeanor. It's more realistic when considering the seriousness of the times.

I'm a centrist, I don't know much about Kamala Harris, and like most people I'm just learning. It seems to me she is not educated in economics, but I don't think she's stupid and her desire to be just seems sincere.

It started when she went out to shake his hand while he seemingly resisted and had to treat him like a child right in the opening moments of the debate. That set the tone of who was gonna be in charge that evening.

The moderators by injecting their own opinions/comments ("fact checking") made this debate pretty much null in void imo.

Moderators are supposed to ask questions and let the candidates respond .... nothing more.

Notice how the only thigns the moderator fact checked were the insane 1000% wrong stuff. Not his other thigns he lied about, but his flat out lies, like the abortions after birth and the cats and dogs eating. Again remind me of anything that harris said that was not only patantly false, but absurd to think otherwise?

Cynicism usually forms as a defense mechanism that habitually reasons upon "negative prejudice", and a psychotic cynic could project criticism whether Harris was described as NOT transparent, insincere and "hiding something", or whether she was just being herself and described as "NOT controlling" her emotions or facial expressions.

It's futile to try and fix what's not broken, and that is what is frustrating when trying to reason with those who are disconnected from reality through the negative prejudice of cynicism.
