Let's say that you are on the team that has to hire someone new for a position at your work. You get a few references. A few CVs. One guys seems to fit the bill. But one of your colleagues has dug a little deeper.I understand that their only motivation is they hate Trump. But thats not a good reason to choose the alternative. Its based on feelings and not reality.
He tells you what the guy had said, on tape, about grabbing women by their genitals. It seems that he has been charged and found guilty of fraud. That the fraud case involved him cheating on his wife (while she was pregnant) with a porn star. You are also told that it was found that he had sexually assaulted a woman by digitally raping her. And subsequent to that had been fined an extraordinary amount for defaming the same woman. That there had been a vote by management in a previous job to release him from his position and he constantly lied, and in fact still lies about it, despite taking the matter to court dozens of times and his claims being rejected each time.
Your colleague says that there's more. Do you need him to continue? Is it worth continuing? Hasn't everyone heard enough? Is there anyone dumb enough to suggest that hey, maybe this is the type of person we want working here? Don't you immediately crumple up his application and say 'I think it's safe to say that we move on'?
