Tucker got ahold of the January 6 footage and produced an edited version that made it seem like the capitol police were escorting protesters through the capitol on a guided tour, including the infamous Shaman character. Many posters here cited that footage to claim that coverage of the riots on January 6 were misleading.

So in other words, Carson never used the Left's sugar coated label for riot AKA "mostly peaceful protest?"

This comes as little surprise.

But if you think Harris joining the race late is a danger to democracy, why wasn't Gerald Ford? He became president after never having been involved in a single election for that office, in any capacity whatsoever. He was appointed VP after Agnew resigned, then became president after Nixon also resigned.

And the country survived.

So you have gays waving Palestine flags calling for the slaughter of Jews, and feminists celebrating and defending those who deny women their God given natural rights.

It's almost like a new religion, it's just one that uses terrorism for political gain. And make no mistake this is terrorism, they are threatening a civilian population (those average citizens of Chicago) with riots if the Democrats don't do what they want - which is ultimately to cut ties with Israel.

Yesterday they were threatening to bring the war home in their chants (which I take to mean America since that was the DNC protestors) which is at the least a domestic terror threat being made by thousands of people in unison.

What, that our form of government isn't a "democracy" in the strictest use of the term? I'm sure most know. Everyone knows we elect representatives to serve our interests in government, which makes us, by definition, a constitutional republic. I don't know anyone who thinks we have a system exactly as the ancient Greeks devised.

There was no coup. Calling what happened a "coup" only serves to make the word seem to mean something it doesn't. The word "coup" has been abused and repeated so much in MAGA land that it no longer has any meaning. To suggest the Democrats pulled off a coup is laughable.

We have foreigners interested in American politics and want to ask a sincere question, why? Is it because we are supposedly World Leader, or are our policies usually filtered to your country? This has been on my mind since I came to these forums.

How big are you projecting these protests to be?

There were predicted to be around 100 - 150 thousand protesters in all between all the groups saying they would be gathering to protest... I don't know how many they are saying are actively there and protesting.

Police closed in on them from opposite ends and arrested a handful of people. Kaste found a long line of delegates and talked with some, but none of them had seen or heard any of the protests. More demonstrations are planned for the remaining three days of the DNC."

I was just responding to the OP, I jumped in late so I started with my answer as a right winger to the main question and then expounded upon some of my general thinking about these protests.

I thought I was on topic. Topic being DNC protestors, and when do riots become riots.

But of course for that we have to consider these are people that accept terrorism against civilian populations as a justifiable means to achieve political ends.
