  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not you, some other poster is currently explaining to me what my process to getting a hysterectomy has really been like. I was under the impression it has taken more than a year, but he says otherwise.

I was always under the impression I was a woman, but people tell me new things about myself on here all the time. It’s hard keeping straight what I think I am from what I’m told I am.
Since I'm a man through and through I will never tell woman what it's like to have a hysterectomy, since I will never experience that.

Odd anyone would think otherwise, eh?

I've been called ma'am many, many times on the phone though....must be my voice. LOL

If it is any consolation, I was “just now” years old when I learned you are a guy.

Gender neutral user names will get me every time, lol.

When it happens under care of a doctor after years of supervision by a team of doctors, we’d call it “a layman’s over simplification of somebody else’s medical treatment.”
Also incorrect. They do not remove or "chop off" male parts during gender reassignment, they reconfigure them to where they would have been if they were born female.

Hence my statement about it being “a layman’s oversimplification.”

They're not satisfied in the long run
Ten to 15 years after surgical reassignment, the suicide rate of those who had undergone sex-reassignment surgery rose to 20 times that of comparable peers.

Ah the heritage foundation, that well known and highly respected medical organization.

How very sad. They need therapy. Seriously.

Well, I tried to go to my cardiologist to get my hysterectomy,
Well, that was a dumb thing to do.....he probably laughed you out of his office.
Frustrating, since I had just gone to the GYN to for my ventricular tachycardia and wouldn’t you know, they couldn’t help me with with that.
He probably laughed you out of his office also.
That whole “oh I work in (insert medical field here)” thing may work on some people, but it doesn’t work on me. Working in a hospital, in a unit, or in a specialty doesn’t make you a doctor, a specialist in all medical treatments, an expert in another non-patient’s medical treatment, or an I disputable authority on how all treatments for all things go.

So forgive me for not thinking “guy who carefully worded he worked in a highly specific unrelated specialty in an unknown capacity, but got a vasectomy several decades ago in another country” is in any way even remotely equipped to explain to me what my hysterectomy experience must really be. LoL!
Look, I gave you a piece of advice.....another doc or another insurance company. Almost certainly it is the ins. company holding this up. Your doc get paid for what he does; he has every incentive to do the procedure.....unless he gets paid by that ins. co. for not doing surgical procedures (that's called 'Managed Care') but primarily for medical (drug only) treatments. If you are on a managed care plan......ehhh.....good luck getting that hysterectomy.....unless you end up with cervical cancer of course (hysterectomy's tend to be cheaper than cancer therapy especially if it spreads)......just say'n.....but you go your own way......best of luck to you.......you may need it.

OK, so you can't be more specific because YOU have no concept of how things work so you project your own ignorance of a subject onto others.....you could have just said that and we would both be just fine.
I'm transgender... do you actually want to know or are you just asking questions to wear out the conversation?

Why would testicles be moved to the pelvis and where would the vascular supply come from to sustain them? I mean, in a female there is actually a place for the uterus and ovaries but where would that be in a male for his testicles?......I have never heard of this....not that I have ever studied it though.....

Yet here you are, somebody who “works in cardiology” telling me what my hysterectomy process should be like.

I’m just going to listen to my doctors and follow their treatment plan, if that’s ok with you. They know infinitely more about the process.

I don't do brain surgery either.......sheesh
And if you were acting like you did or was an authority on the subject, we’d be having a different discussion.

Yes you do, or you just post without caring what you say. It's not like it's a challenge to scroll back. So you have confirmed you don't actually want an answer.

Well, you can quote what I said and post it here.......I know that's a huge amount of work and effort but maybe you can exert yourself just this once?

I think you don't get it Alex. The day of visibility isn't Biden's day to move. He could have not recognized it, but he couldn't move it. (And he *did* recognize it in 2023 and possibly 2022 and 21, I don't recall. It is an annual thing, but predictable.) The "controversy" is a combination of paranoia and gaslighting by the RWers that want you to overweight a very minor issue and ignore issues where there positions are much more unpopular.
Even the centrists were not excited about this day of visibility. :) Biden could have just chosen to ignore the day.

Well hey, at least we live in 2024, and not in 1940s Germany. Even though I do not like either party in 2024, I prefer the two party system in 2024 over 1940s fascism any day.

Fascism or socialism, either leads to tyranny. But the single biggest indicator for the rise of tyranny is a single-party state, whatever the ideology, Once other parties are eliminated or marginalized, no Constitution can save you.
