New York election law? I thought he was running for president
He was running for president in New York in addition to the other states. The NY elections for NY's electoral votes are under the regulation of NY. (As it is for your state.)

I believe he has a constitutional right to roll his eyes. As long as he doesn’t say anything.

No, he really doesn't, not in a court. This YouTube video is a good example, despite being a Michigan court:

A prosecutor from Brooklyn ad one from Manhattan are arguably greater experts in this area then either Dershowitz or Turley, because they have familiarity with the law in question.
Not true ! The resumes of the two Professors I listed makes them far more qualified to analyze the legal issues of this case. What is the two prosecutors expertise that makes them more qualified the two professors?

“Lawyers have opinions” is great for debates such as we find at present, but one side is bound to be incorrect. Assuming that the lawyers who agree with your (own) assessment of the case, are, in fact, “correct”, is called “confirmation bias”; it’s natural to “reason” this way, but only the jury gets to decide.

Everyone has an opinion but not always based on facts. As far as the jury yes they do get to decide but can be heavily swayed by the judges jury instructions. I will not be surprised at a conviction. Despite all of the liberal pontificating this has not been a fair trial its only goal is to interfere in the election which is ironic given all of the liberal drama over 2020 and Jan 6. As I have said before the number one goal is a conviction before the election. Obviously no one on the side of the prosecution including the judge cares if it is overturned on appeal and it will be. It is all about trying to stop Trump. Well thus far no one has been able to do that.

Oh, he”s going to be acquitted (in this case). Only three more to go.

Biden a Law degree and Trump does not, However I don't trust what either of them say
Biden earned a Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1968. He ranked 76th in a class of 85 students after failing a course because he plagiarized a law review article for a paper he wrote in his first year at law school. He was admitted to the Delaware bar in 1969.

Neither Turley or Dershowitz, as far as I can tell, are even licensed to practice law in New York. Even if they were, neither of them has any prosecutorial experience. There is no reason to believe either has any understanding of Penal Law 175.10 or the relevant common law around it. The two prosecutors on the underhand, since it is a common legal tool in the State and especially in NYC, presumably have substantial first-hand experience in how the law works.

Irrelevant ,their qualifications being professors of law with years of courtroom experience makes their analysis extremely credible except to those bent on the destruction of Trump.

Irrelevant, to observing the court room shoddiness of Merchant. Even a inexperienced in the law person can see the open bias, except for those bent on the destruction of Trump.

There is no reason to believe either has any understanding of Penal Law 175.10 or the relevant common law around it.
There is no reason to believe they do not. This is a baseless statement.

I agree with you that they are "on the underhand".

presumably have substantial first-hand experience in how the law works.
To say Turley and Dershowitz are not qualified to analyze this case shows disregard for the proper use of the law. IMHO of course. The two prosecutors cited earlier are far inferior in knowledge of the law just with the time of experience as a factor in my statement.

What makes you say that?
They wouldn't give the defense multiple reasons to appeal if they really cared. Come on let's get real, destroying Trump, keeping him off of the campaign trail, draining him finacially, hoping a conviction will destroy his chance of election are the only goal of the swamp here. The "rule of law " argument and " no one is above the law" claims are a joke. Trump haters are on a mission which is backfiring with the American voting public. This was a huge mis-calculation by the never Trumpers.

Why warn Trump haters that their plan is backfiring ?

Desperate people do desperate things. I think many liberals are in panic mode right now because of the poles. So far nothing has worked, Trump is stronger than ever. It has gotten to the point where some want him gone, like permanently if you catch my drift. Why would some liberals propose a bill removing secret service protection if convicted of something? There can be no other reason than hoping to see him removed from the planet. This hatred of Trump had gotten out of hand for many and is turned into an unnatural obsession. Don’t ask me to explain that, because I am sure moderators would shut me down if I did. What political person in the history of this country has had to endure the veracity of attacks Trump had withstood? Who else would still be standing and fighting against the evil directed his way.

How does it go? You can fool some of the people all of the time...
It is just astonishing how easy it has been for Mr. Trump to fool them.
The best judges of character I know, our dogs, are repelled by Mr. Trump.

I would say some people can be fooled most of the time. Proved by many liberal ideological posts.
