Couldn't God have just re-created all the land animals after the flood?

Sure, God could have.

Then why bother asking Noah to go through the laborious process of building a huge ark to store them?

  1. Often, God preferred to use existing material to produce the next product. For example, after he had created the Earth, he used ground dust to make Adam. Elisha multiplied a widow's oil (2 K 4:3). Jesus turned water into wine and multiplied fish and bread. After the flood, the animals from before the flood multiplied. It was not like the previous creation was a total failure and God had to recreate everything from scratch.
  2. The building of the huge ark was a test of faith for Noah. Noah believed in God's warning, and he passed the big test. Hebrews 11:
7 By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household.
3. It was a testimony against the ungodly people at the time. They saw the building of the ark but did not believe in God or Noah. They failed the test.

4. The huge ark was a physical symbol of God's huge work of saving both men and animals.

Woe is spoken by Yeshua against anyone who puts a stumbling block in the path of others causing them to stumble even if they do not fall.
bla bla >>> "See also" the devil is a liar. (He invented eviliution and non-world flood to lead people on the path to destruction bit by bit.... very bad!)

Most YE creationists are sincere and do not intend to cause others to lose their faith. But that's what happens frequently.

But eventually, by 1994 I was through with young-earth creationISM. Nothing that young-earth creationists had taught me about geology turned out to be true. I took a poll of my ICR graduate friends who have worked in the oil industry. I asked them one question.

“From your oil industry experience, did any fact that you were taught at ICR, which challenged current geological thinking, turn out in the long run to be true?”

That is a very simple question. One man, Steve Robertson, who worked for Shell grew real silent on the phone, sighed and softly said ‘No!’ A very close friend that I had hired at Arco, after hearing the question, exclaimed, “Wait a minute. There has to be one!” But he could not name one. I can not name one. No one else could either. One man I could not reach, to ask that question, had a crisis of faith about two years after coming into the oil industry. I do not know what his spiritual state is now, but he was in bad shape the last time I talked to him.

And being through with creationism, I very nearly became through with Christianity. I was on the very verge of becoming an atheist.

God doesn't care what you think of evolution; a YE creationist, if he accepts Jesus, is no less Christian than the rest of us. But YE is a very effective atheist-maker.

On the other hand, I believe by faith what God has recorded in the Bible. I will always believe that YEC is correct and that the Lord God did NOT use evolution in Genesis chapters 1 and 2.

Truth is, your salvation doesn't depend on what you think of evolution. Long as one doesn't make an idol of one's beliefs, God will judge one on those things He's said will matter.

This would be a good question for the people who have PhD's in Botany and are are experts on the wild plants in the middle east and how they became cultivated. They are well published but usually in peer reviews journals and not so much in books. We are told that God planted or created Eden. He does not have an eraser to start all over again. He declares the end from the beginning He watches over HIs word to perform what He declares He is going to do. We read a lot about how good His creation is. Extinctions are a big part of evolution. There was a huge extinction 13,000 years ago at the beginning of the current age or era we live in. I think about the saber tooth tiger and wooly mammoth's. But there was a lot more than that going extinct at the end of the glaciers. When the earth began to warm.

In a indirect way Noah did save the world because all of the plants and animals of the middle east spread to Europe. This was not only the beginning of man being a food producer, this was the beginning of civilization. Moses was more like a civil engineer. I have a book on civil engineering that is very big and very thick. There is a lot that goes into making a city work.

Everybody in the world saw the building of the ark but did not believe in God or Noah?

Interesting thing to me is the YEC label, which was created by the evolutionist, is what has caused most of the confusion & despair with creationists.
