Yes, yes, tell us all how an ex president having to return some property that belongs to the government is like an aerial bombing killing a lot of service members and attacking our Navy. I can totally see the parallel there.

It is likely is a grift and people likely aren't going to get their money's worth...

However, as I touched on in my other thread...given that "money talks" in politics (as unfortunate as that is), these efforts of "throwing salt on the Trump wounds" could backfire in the form of Republicans getting a lot more fundraising dollars leading into mid-terms and 2024 than their democratic counterparts, during a time where democrats don't have the level of popularity to cancel out that amount of money.

Democrats were going to have a hard enough road (if DeSantis runs) beating him even if fundraising dollars were equal...now all he has to do is indirectly imply that he's going to scrutinize the FBI, and he's going to raise a ton of money on top of that.

If all the FBI wanted was a return of some property, they would have issued a subpoena for it, rather than do an armed raid. But then again, the DOJ is headed by the guy who wanted to be a SCOTUS justice, but Trump got in his way, so there's that to consider.

The irony that the government's raid has made Trump even more popular is delightful indeed! This isn't the first time the biden admin. has shot itself in the foot, and I hope it won't be the last. Let them keep making blunders like this, and watch the people see it for what it is, which will cause more people to turn to Trump in 2024---and the Republicans in general in November (just a few months away!)
