We have heard so much talk about Jan 6 and how it is the biggest crisis our nation has experienced since the Civil War...

How is this not something comparable? People are threatening the court with rioting. This comes only a few weeks after someone tried to go after Justice Kavanaugh. At the very least this is an attempt to bully the court, and judicial tampering has been a serious matter when it comes to smaller scale trials.

The justices are not democratically elected by the people, the Jan 6 riot was an attempt to stop/hijack the democratic process.

Main difference.

Both examples are mob rule replacing democracy due to a lack of it.

Main similarity.

Indeed a half year of blm rioting and direct threats to the Supreme Court -- vs some elderly folks standing around the Capitol building (many of them, visitors unwittingly following a crowd containing a few bad apples). I was not voting in favor of any of it - but I can tell the difference in scope and magnitude even so.

First that comes to mind is that these rioters are outside the system and can be dealt with by security forces.

Coup attempt by the silent and not so silent backing from the White House to instill an authoritarian form of government that had the control of security services would be a far more of a threat.

But of course you can make all the arguments why people carrying babies smeared with fake blood and shouting slogans are comparable threat to people storming capitol with the backing of the sitting President.

It is of course laughable but feel free to continue.

Outside the system??? These are people breaking federal laws they are criminals, they need to be arrested and prosecuted just as the Jan 6 participants were

with the backing of the sitting President.
Where is the evidence for that assumption

Appointed government and elected government is an appropriate distinction to make when the government form is supposedly a democracy.

I don't know if it's who controls the house or the senate or just has the reigns... But, you have to ask yourself.. What would have happened if:

It was Trumps son's laptop?
Trump said "So, I told him, if you don't fire that guy, you don't get your 5 billion dollars. And son of a gun..... they fired him".....?
Marjorie Taylor Green was charged with running a pedophile ring and had a list of clients in a black book?
Trumps nephew falsified a federal document when he applied for a hand gun?
Trump fell off his bike?
Trump couldn't remember the Prime minister of Australia's name?
Ruddy Giovanni lied under oath when he was questioned by the senate?
Jim Jordan tweeted “For any reason at all that This moment has to be a call to arms,”?
Senator Ted Curz's wife was caught drunk driving and charged?

There is a plethora of things that have happened since 2020 that would have been full blown front page news for months..... if Trumps administration was in power..

Yet, you will hear very little if anything about most events.

By virtue of the system claiming to be a democracy.

Democracy is a government form that apparently gives authority to the people.

Positions elected by the populace are legitimate.

Positions of power not elected directly by the people are not legitimate.

I guess Canada also has a constitutional monarchy to be technical, but the politicians keep insisting it's an actual democracy in either country so ...

So members of SCOTUS are not legitimate, very interesting, by the way our nations is a Republic. Please provide the authority that supports your post.
