That is certainly a chunk of it. Show love to people; with special attention to the most vulnerable.
Christianity is always supposed to be about humility, both before God and our fellow man.
American Christianity does not always have that flavour stirred through so much.
There is no doubt that Christianity has often been its own worst enemy. Humans, Christian or not, far too often form a belief system first and then try to make the Bible fit the system instead of fitting their system to fit the Bible. It's always been that way and always will. It's a human failing at it is wrong. That's how we got the inquisition, the burning of witches, and the racism of the south. None of which are supported by the New Covenant to which the church should be beholden.
Despite that, the church as a whole has done more for the poor, the sick the downtrodden etc. than any other group or organization. I will confess we are still not doing enough with our largess as believers.
As the Bible clearly teaches we as individuals and as a corporate body are to reach out and be the hand of Christ to others. Never does the teachings of Christ it Paul demand that we force anyone else to give it assist. The gospel is for everyone, the commands of love, kindness gentleness meekness, forgiving, generosity, mercy are only for the church made of individuals. It is meant for ONLY the believer to live. As believers we are to oppose the enemy when we see him. Because we are aware of his devices and how his devices destroy. The thief has come to kill and destroy, he has come seeking those to devour and it is our responsibility as a church to oppose the working if the enemy. But we are not to command non -believers to be I obedience to Christ. We are to tell all men to repent.
It's is not our place to punish those outside the church for they are already under condemnation and the judgement of God. It is our responsibility to judge those within the church who are creating wickedness within. It is our responsibility to rebuke and discipline those within the church that call themselves brothers for wickedness and false doctrine.
And this pastor, if what is said about him is true is NOT within the New Covenant and he should be judged and disciplined and rebuked by the church.
