Social media can be so disheartening sometimes.

Yes I saw a scathing post.
And others rolling with it. :sigh:

I know, it makes me sad too because I feel like they have bought into the brainwashing. The Bible says something like even the elect can be fooled in the end times. We are witnessing this now. I feel like this and the homosexuality LGBQ thing are a prequel to how some Christians will fall for the mark of the beast in the last days. The Bible is clearly against these things but the world has more influence over them than God's Word. I hate to see Christians give in to the pressure of the world. :prayer::crossrc:

It’s bad enough that so many ‘Christians’ support abortion but to see Catholics do it is really sad.

Agreed! But what's even worse is to see them getting away with it in public!
If they only knew what they were doing!!!
"Release unto us Barabbas!"
That's what the crowd cried back then.
Today what they cry is even worse, if that is possible.

It’s a failure of those in authority to do their duty. Getting away with it teaches others in the pews that it’s really OK. That’s what our bishops are teaching us by their silence on the matter, not discipling the disciples.

I agree wholeheartedly!
I think that the Bishop's in question are afraid.
No, it's not easy on either side to refuse someone communion, or to be refused.
But for the sake of others in the pews who might be debating those same questions, it's absolutely necessary for priests and Bishops to take a public stand, and to Put Christ First!!!
If the priests and Bishops don't do it, they run the risk of letting down their side.
And also by their complicity in allowing those who are unrepentant, and who are thus guilty of the sin of murder to receive, they are implying that the rich and influential can quite literally get away with supporting murder of the innocent.

To accept the murder of innocents is to have blood on your hands, and thus to be unfit to partake of the Body and Blood of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

One day we will know just how the wrong choices have affected our lives.
While on this Earth, we know only in part what could have happened if we had made right choices.
God is merciful to us in that way; hiding from our eyes the full extent of the harm that has ensued.
But He has not blocked all knowledge of the calamity from us.
But instead, He has let us know enough that we might feel remorse, confess the sin, and thus be spared the full punishment.

Catholics for choice instruct women that have trouble with the decision that it’s just cells.
They are promoting this at ppf.
Many women walk away struggling with the pain of the choice.

Using the name Catholic needs stripped from them.

My own son wants to keep abortion legal and sees no problem with it.

He himself was born when my wife was just 27 weeks pregnant. He was just under
3lbs at birth. The doctors, nurses and us, fought and prayed for his life when he was in
the emergency neo-natal unit in Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital.

We saw preemies born at 21-24 weeks and saw the amazing things that the doctors
and nurses did to try and keep them alive.

Despite all that, my son refuses to hear about human life and at 42 years of age,
we can't even talk about it without him getting upset.

I am so sorry. Is he a practicing Catholic?

The only way to address these problems seems to be to ask the pro-choice person why they themselves would choose not to be born.
That's called "putting the shoe on the other foot".
Then ask if there are things that they have enjoyed in life, and whether they would deliberately deny that same joy to others.
Tell them that aborted children will miss that experience that they were supposed to have, if they had lived.
Abortion is the harshest discrimination that anyone can experience in this life.
And we all pay for it.

Lord, have mercy

It's a ghastly thing, especially when they claim to be Catholic. It's fraud of the highest, most offensive, order.
