if Roe is overturned or severely limited? Note, I ask this as someone who did not support him, as I have voted Third Party since 2000. Still, I wonder if Trump becomes effectively responsible for saving the lives of millions of unborn babies in the coming decades, by a reversal of Roe vs Wade, could what one politician called him, "the most Christian President ever", end up becoming at least partially true? You know, it would be very strange if a man who apparently told more lies as President than almost any of his predecessors, and who did not take the pandemic seriously at first, and spoke ill of the dead when he trashed John McCain, and made fun of a disabled man while at a GOP Presidential Primary campaign stop and so on and so on..... ends up saving the lives of an untold number of unborn babies.

No. He could be called the president who helped turn over Roe v Wade. But no political party has all the Christian values. And I’m not sure if trump can actually be called a Christian? Can he? We’ll know them by their fruits? I’m not too sure. I’m not judging him, just making an observation.

also, I’m with you, I’m not really for either party anymore. Though I haven’t voted third party yet. But soon, it should seem.

What would actually happen if Roe v. Wade is overturned?

"If Roe v. Wade is one day overturned, abortion will not become illegal throughout the entire United States. Each state in the union would revert back to its own individual laws regarding abortion, which is why numerous states have passed “trigger laws” ensuring abortion will remain legal there if Roe is overturned."

I remember when Pope Francis implied that Trump was not a Christian due to his stance against immigration, but then he clarified his remarks and softened them a little.

To a great extent, you are correct. I probably overestimated how many lives could be saved by a reversal. However, some women would change their minds if they had to travel a long distance, but how many is an unknown quantity. We could be looking at 10% or less?

I was always leery because he never went to church but the biggest thing is when he messed up on Bible citations. Like got them suppoerrrr wrong.

Well, we're talking about the man who, in conservative media, was praised as the literal Savior of Christianity...

As he's clearly already the One to call upon when your savior needs a Savior, then, if your definition of Christianity begins and ends with outlawing abortion, then... gloria in excelsis Donaldo, I suppose...

The legality of abortion would remain the same for the majority of the population as the majority of Americans live in states where banning abortion is non-starter, back of the napkin math I did once came up to something like 70ish percent, and unless lawmakers have plans to outdo decree 770 in states where it's politically viable to outlaw abortion they can look forward similar failures on reducing the abortion rate by force.

The drug war has shown us that a boarder can stop drug imports in their tracks! Wait, that's not what happened at all. Now with added bonus points of the drugs being perfectly legal on the other side of a state line.

We all have a purpose in life; perhaps that is his.

Will it be true? No. Will he be called that by some? Sure. Some of those unborn babies may say "thank you". A great many, probably not. Each one will be an opportunity for God to work through if He chooses, and the people around them choose to. But since they are beginning with and in mothers who would have chosen not to... I doubt it will end well for most. All will born into a world that values life... until it begins to breath air and cost money and cry for love and time. Perhaps the process will change the mother's heart; perhaps they'll seek God to change their circumstances on behalf of their children. Maybe that was always the way it was meant to be and we just got away from it, I don't know. I'm middle-of-the-road on the abortion issue. As for the "most Christian President Ever"... Manipulated Most Christians Ever. That's the world those babies will be born into, as I see it.

And I suspect it's going to be busy building more jails than orphanages and schools.

Good luck kiddos.

I see no evidence that Trump was a Christian before he was elected, nor that he converted while he was in office. For him to be remembered as a Christian President therefore, would be a grievous mistake. Regardless of the good things he did do.

Not really our place to judge his salvation. He clearly demonstrated some ignorance of Christian philosophy but luckily that is not what saves or damns a person. He was Christian friendly which is something positive but doesn't tell us whether or not he confessed, repented, and submitted to Jesus. That's about all he really needs to understand to be saved. No way for us to know unless he publicly proclaims it. Even that isn't proof and only God really knows the truth.

He publicly denied a need to repent for anything prior to his election, and he gave zero signs of changing this belief and mindset since. I'm just going with the information he provided to the public, and what the Gospel teaches.
