IN 2020 Police in Kenosha appear to have been operating under rules of engagement something like this "let the city burn so we don't risk-our-lives only to get accused by lib-midia and lib-politicians of doing something racist , or risk being unpopular with pop criminal heroes".

Kyle and one of his friends went to a highschool in his city to clean up graffiti -- and noticed that one of three car lots burned in riots. So he and his friend asked the owner of the car lots if they would like some help protecting their car lot the next night. The owner said yes. Kyle and his friend then went to that lot in the evening to guard it and were threatened by the mob. But not before helping a number of people there - all of whom were among the demonstrators/rioters.

Later in the evening some of the same felons that had threatened him - caught up with him and attacked. The rest is history.

(Note: Kyle lived with his father in Kenosha, and with his mother in Antioch)

=====================
A famous Christian theologian by the name of Dietrich Bonhoeffer wrote a paper while in prison on how the masses become stupified via various forms of propaganda in government and/or religion. He points out that those caught up in it do not even realize when they commit violent acts - that they are in fact violent.

Bonhoeffer‘s Theory of Stupidity

So "why" did the founding fathers insert the 2nd ammendment right to bear arms?

Was it because they feared government might experience a "stupid moment" where they stopped protecting cities from looters, anarchists, criminals and that the citizens needed a way to step in when government failed? And what if the citizen is a 17 year old - is armed and commits no crime in doing that very thing?

Well for "many" in the "just obey the mob and all will be well with you" group or as they said in 2020 "prepare to be robbed... obey the criminals...that is what we (the police) recommend" -- the 2nd amendment is pretty much viewed as "a bad idea".

Police in major U.S. city warn public: Prepare to be robbed, obey criminals

You'll never hear this truth on mainstream media though because it didn't go along with their Kyle the white supremacist vigilante criminal murderer narrative.

According to the car lot owners Rittenhouse was not asked to protect the car lots. Regardless of the jury's acquittal, he will always bear the guilt of having killed two men. If and when he faces Jesus Christ, he will be found guilty of violating the commandment not to kill.

He is not a hero by any stretch of the imagination. His life is forever tainted by his foolish, murderous behavior.

Kyle Rittenhouse did nothing to deserve being memorialized. He's an idiot who put himself into a dangerous situation with a gun and very nearly got himself killed as a result.

Perhaps it was a dangerous situation. A dangerous situation created by other people, people who were, among other things, destroying property that was not there.

Perhaps he did have a gun. He had a gun because the situation was dangerous. If someone is going into a potentially dangerous situation, then being prepared is wise.

Perhaps he did almost get himself killed. But it is only "almost" because he had a gun that kept the people attacking him and pointing a gun at him from taking the "almost" out of the equation.

Perhaps he was an idiot. After all, what kind of person but an idiot would try to protect other people's property from being destroyed by rioters.

Perhaps he doesn't deserve to be memorialized. Perhaps we should continue memorializing real criminals. Perhaps we should continue trying to remove the unseemly aspects of those who are held up as "victims" while shoveling all manner of false accusations on to someone like Rittenhouse.

Or perhaps not.

Glad you know what Jesus will do in this particular case. Cause you are all knowing?

Don't tell Batman that.
Batman really shouldn’t have been a superhero in all honesty.
He was just a mentally ill millionaire vigilante with ptsd and lots of cool toys. Poor guy.
:disappointed:

Who created the danger is irrelevant. He made the choice to put himself there.

Perhaps he did almost get himself killed. But it is only "almost" because he had a gun that kept the people attacking him and pointing a gun at him from taking the "almost" out of the equation.
And he wouldn't have needed a gun or needed to defend himself if he hadn't made the choice to put himself there.

Perhaps he was an idiot. After all, what kind of person but an idiot would try to protect other people's property from being destroyed by rioters.
No one's property is worth anyone's life.

Who said anything about memorializing criminals? It's not a zero-sum game. Kyle Rittenhouse doesn't deserve to be memorialized. That's it.

indeed - after having one of their lots burned the last thing they would want is for police or anyone else to be protecting the other two lots... because that is what their insurance property contract demanded - no protection.

(oh no wait! Telling the media they wanted no protection WAS their form of "protection" in that mob setting)

Apparently the Judge and Jury saw through that wild story.

No one's property is worth anyone's life.
.

Good thing that trial was NOT about someone standing in a car lot and shooting anyone who wanted to steal a car or burn the lot down. Since that is not what happened.

Instead it was only about "self defense"

I did not realize there were burning car lots in Antioch.

My guess is that you also did not realize that Kyle lived in both cities since his mother was in one of them and his father was in Kenosha which is also the city that his rifle was kept in.

Lib news Media spin-doctor-flame-journalism got slam hammered by the actual facts during the trial.

Vigilantism is not a good thing.

Good thing the "populist crime-committed form of vigilante" mass-murder mass-assault, random attack --- is not what this is about.

Rather it is the non-criminal no-crime-committed "technical definition" for it -- "
NOUN
  1. "a member of a self-appointed group of citizens who undertake law enforcement in their community without legal authority, typically because the legal agencies are thought to be inadequate."

Where "thought to be inadequate" is defined as "city burning in the back ground" as police "stand down and watch" -- while national news media describes that conflagration via anarchy as - "peaceful" to see how many can be lulled into believing what they are being told rather than what their eyes are seeing.

post #5 is getting more helpful by the minute.

Right. You'll only get the truth from alternative media who don't have any political agenda and are committed to fair and honest reporting. Regardless of any claims to the opposite, 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse crossed state lines and killed people with a military rifle "protecting" property that wasn't his.
