well you could benefit from what she is saying
Just another 'NDE'... I've heard so many; often with characteristic hypoxia and/or similarities to drug-induced effects, especially time distortion, intense, vivid experiences, and/or feelings of deep significance and emotion.

you will have your own someday

On the assumption that people the world over experience NDEs, what if the person is a Hindu. Who does she meet in the hereafter?

Edit: Here's a comparison between western and Japonese NDEs: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwi-84agwK_0AhXd9nMBHcwxAwMQFnoECAIQAQ&url=https://med.virginia.edu/perceptual-studies/wp-content/uploads/sites/360/2017/01/NDE76-Japanese-and-western-JNDS.pdf&usg=AOvVaw0xmoGjOZ0v5ot1Ia6hPzNL

The commonality seems to be the presence of a bright light. Whilst everything associated with that is culturally determined.

"To summarize, we found almost all the elements observed in Western NDEs to have been present also in Japanese NDEs. Thus, Japanese NDEs appear to be phenomenologically very similar to Western NDEs."

Yeah. That's what I said. The bright light, the feeling of peace, the warm and comforting environment (the phenomena) - they're all there. How they are interpreted is culturally determined. Americans are very religious so they describe it as a religious experience. The Japanese are not - so they don't. So what an NDE 'means' is entirely dependent on who you ask.

It's impossible to know but I'd be astonished if the experience wasn't very similar in any given animal with a certain amount of cerebral processing power. So a chimp or a dolphin would have their equivalent NDEs.
