A) Instantaneous death means the organism doesn't suffer. Tormenting a live animal until it dies inflicts lengthy suffering on the animal, which is immoral and unnecessary.

B) This isn't Vietnam. People here don't eat dogs for food, so your question is a non-sequitur.

But whether it was you being criticized or just a generic group called non-vegans, my point was (as you showed) that there is a huge difference between instantaneous death and conscious torment. Abaxvahl doesn't seem to care about the difference.

American industrial farming very much involves extended conscious torment rather than instantaneous death.
