To continue the conversation about Cognitive Decline and the president this latest appearance seems to be further evidence for suspecting that. The video comes from Sky News which is obviously an unsympathetic source as far as editing etc. to make things look as bas as possible. But still it is noteworthy pointing out specific things like Andersen Copper going out of his way to give out easy "soft ball questions" and the president seems to get flustered and mutters "What am I doing here" at some point.

This sort of thing does not inspire confidence.

Content is important! Go to 37:48 to hear the content of "What am I doing here."

I have only listened to about half of this video but it has restored a lot of my confidence in Biden, specifically, that mentally he is doing just fine.

So if a Youtube compilation of slip-ups and misspeaking is what constitutes enough evidence for a diagnosis of "Cognitive Decline" by your standards then why did you not make posts like this about Trump when he was President? Did Trump fail to inspire confidence in you? Or is this a partisan thing?

Here is your Trump video so you can let us know after you've watched it that your diagnosis is that Trump also suffered "Cognitive Decline", doctor.:

This is what people say when their own indefensible, politically-motivated double standard has been exposed.

At least 90% of the questions came from the audience, not Cooper.
The great majority of the questions came from Andersen Cooper, not the audience, and of the hand-picked questioners in the audience (yes, they were) one after another was identified as a Democrat with a couple of "Independents" and not a single Republican.

I gave up well into the interview, so there might have been a self-described Republican somewhere later in the program, but the format was nothing like what you claimed.

This is an interesting thread in a different sense. It was only yesterday that we were reading the observation that Biden's condition seems to have declined noticeably from this time last year. That was a reference to the presidential debates in which he seemed to perform well as compared to the stumbling around, forgetfulness, and incoherent comments witnessed in this interview.

Really, post a link of the last critical comment on Biden you have made. Certainly you pointed out of his several ‘four Pinocchio’s’ from fact checkers.

If you cannot then I would suggest you should stop throwing stones, glass houses are so fragile.

Noted that you are dodging answering for the double standard you have which I have exposed.

And it's interesting you bring up glass houses and throwing stones, since you are trying to deflect by projecting on to me precisely what I exposed with the entire "cognitive decline" anti-Biden crowd. Biden bashers are using videos of Biden's misspeaking and mispronunciations as conrete evidence for their (non-medical-professional) diagnosis of "Cognitive Decline", yet none of you have done that with Trump despite the same slurring, misspeaking and mispronunciation videos of Trump.

And if I were throwing stones while living in a glass house that means I, in the past, would have used a video about Trump to declare him having "Cognitive decline" and the related bashing of him - but the fact is I have NEVER attacked Trump because of his age or his age-related issues. Most of us in this forum who are liberals have NOT done that with Trump. So your "glass houses" analogy only applies to your crowd, not to me or mine.

Pot - meet kettle. You are doing the same!
No, I'm not - what is it you think I'm dodging that I'm throwing stones in a glass house?

Fact Checking joe

After he was asked a question about taxes on the wealthy, Biden said that under "this present tax code, the highest tax rate is 35 percent."

Facts First: Biden was wrong. The top marginal rate is actually 37%; 35% is the second-highest marginal rate. The 37 percent rate affects individual single taxpayers with taxable incomes greater than $523,600 and married couples filing jointly with taxable incomes greater than $628,300. The 35 percent rate affects individuals with taxable incomes greater than $209,425 and married joint filers at incomes greater than $418,850.

Biden said, "When I first was elected, there were only 2 million people who had Covid shots in the United States of America -- had the vaccine. Now we got 190 million, because I went out and bought everything I could do and buy in sight, and it worked."

Facts First: Biden's "2 million people" assertion was inaccurate no matter which way you parse it -- slightly off if you decide to be charitable, way off if not. Also, Biden gave too much credit to his own administration's vaccine purchases. The Trump administration purchased enough vaccine doses to fully vaccinate at least a large percentage of the 190 million people who have received two shots at present.

Fact Checking cont'd

Biden said that "there are over 800,000 sites right now that exist in America where you can go get a vaccine."
Facts First: This is false; Biden added an extra zero.

Specifically, what did I describe about the format that was inaccurate?
You don't know that anyone was handpicked, that's always an accusation to cast doubt.

As far as who the questions came from. A person in the audience would ask a question. Sometimes Cooper would ask for a more detailed question and even repeat the question from the audience if he felt Biden hadn't answered it.

To continue the conversation about Cognitive Decline and the president this latest appearance seems to be further evidence for suspecting that.
But this is what the OP is about [see above quote]. Is he senile, unable to comprehend, etc?
Why did he say, "What am I doing here?"
He couldn't remember the name of the second port in CA.
I'm sorry, that just doesn't seem like a good indication that he is senile, unable to comprehend, make informed decisions, etc.
As I said, I am less worried about him now than I was a week ago.

We can see that they were hand-picked and Cooper asked many more questions on his own than came from people in the audience. As you noted, he also had to help Biden out of his confusion from time to time and change the subject as well when it got to be too much for Biden.

But this is what the OP is about [see above quote]. Is he senile, unable to comprehend, etc?
The evidence seems to be growing stronger and observers in the media and politics are progressively saying it looks as though he's 'losing it.'

Why did he say, "What am I doing here?"
He couldn't remember the name of the second port in CA.
That may have been a little joke on his part. (Trump wouldn't be allowed to have a similar one, of course. He'd be branded a liar under the same circumstances, you know.)

But with Biden, it's near impossible to overlook or brush off the numerous and almost inexplicable mistakes he makes all the time nowadays. As a result, more and more observers are seeing the handwriting on the wall with this guy.

I would have to point out a few related things like:

1) Him having his wife hovering around him like she needs to lead him to the correct place.

2) Him getting lost at the G7 when Jill was not around.

3) Him having to read a list of what reporters to call on, as well as running off immediately after making statements to the press, rather than taking some impromptu questions.

Joe Biden is probably the only president we have every had who has been actively managed from the get go of taking office.

It's true that the incidents are so numerous that it's a chore to recount all of them each time this comes up.

And you are right that he needs help all the time--and by people standing almost at his elbow.

By the way, the ledger that records his time in the White House shows that he only works there about three hours a day.
