The trend today is finally returning to natural decomposition of the dead as done throughout history including in the time of Jesus, only this time to replenish the soil man has destroyed. A fitting payback and a more practical solution.

What is different about replenishing the soil by unburned vs burned decomposition? It all returns, one way or another. But if I am wrong, how does it really make any difference? Or is the symbolism the point?

To me, it is no big deal one way or the other.

A great option! That is the only time I'd like to go to Liberal Washington or Oregon! :).

Matter of choice yes but one is organic vs the carbon foot print involved and not much fertility and life in ashes. 3-4 hours of increasingly expensive gas emissions vs natural microbes.
You seem to think 'the carbon footprint' (whatever that is) is unavoidably permanent and detrimental.

Eventually, it all returns to the earth.

Only part of this worlds falseness.

Truth cannot die,
so neither anyone who is one with truth,

they cannot die, they pass on, they are still active in the world,
only moreso.

So it is a matter of, goodbye and cheerio let the dead bury the dead.
