Any topic on this forum is fully open to me to comment on. That what it's here for.
It's absolutely open to anyone, but it doesn't concern Canadians. It is an issue that concerns Americans and some Central Americans. Opine away but that would be like me going to the Canadian forum to opine on how many loonies the cost of poutine has gone up - I could do it but it's not really a topic that I have anything to do with.

Be glad you don't live in the UK. We are being invaded by air and sea by illegals and migrants. We have hundreds of Syrian migrants ferrying over on boats every day from France. Once here they they are all welcomed with free money from the tax payer, - which is why they keep coming. We are also flying in refugees from Aghanistan etc. We do not even know who we are letting in...
I actually heard some details about that not too long ago….that is an absurd mess also …and like you said they are not truly vetted.

This is not a US of A forum.
This is a Christian forum.
The events which this thread is concerned with affects my fellow Christians.
Feel free to opine away as to how many loonies ( or Twonies) the cost of poutine has gone up. It's you're right.

Should we tell those posters on this thread from Australia, Uruguay and Kenya that they also have no right to an opinion on this thread?

Oh... Post #112? No? Okay

As British, you owe the Syrians restitution for what you have done to destroy their country and funding the terrorists who have been doing it. As a Christian you should be welcoming them with open arms and loving them rather than hating them because you value money over human lives.

Do you have any documentation to back that up or is that just your guess that they are Christian?

Feel free to opine away as to how many loonies ( or Twonies) the cost of poutine has gone up. It's you're right.
Absolutely it's my right, but it's also worthless because as an American I would have no idea what the issue really is, since it doesn't affect my life in any way. I guess I could say it affects my fellow Christians but I know from earlier that when oeople say that you demand documentation to prove it or else you won't accept it. (Yet, oddly, you expect others to accept it when you say it about a population without providing evidence...a double standard you have there.)

Should we tell those posters on this thread from Australia, Uruguay and Kenya that they also have no right to an opinion on this thread?
No, we shouldn't tell anyone that, and I have never told anyone that. Why do you want to tell them that? You think they are beneath Canadians?

Oh... Post #112? No? Okay
I don't understand what you are asking. I see you posted a picture of people in Biden shirts. Do you have documentation showing that they are undocumented non-citizens? For all I know that is a picture of American citizens of Indian descnt in the town square of Springfield, Illinois. Even if they are undocumented non-citizens, there are what, 12 of them? You think the democrats are opening borders to let 12 Biden supporters in? LOL!!!

Not sure what your point is. Hopefully you have documentation - I mean you wouldn't demand it from others and then not provide it yourself, would you? Oh wait, you would.

It's that double standard thing you have going on, kind of like when I say something you tell me it's "irrelevant" and I wasn't entitled to say it but when you say something you say "this is an open forum and anyone can say anything"... it's an open forum for you, but for me my comments can be "irrelevant"...

Amazing double standards you come up with. The cognitive dissonance is glaring and it explains the high level of cognitive dissonance in your political and social views.

And how are the Republicans converting the shining city into a bunker?

My parents immigrated to the United States in 1971. They came, like millions of immigrants before and after them, for a better life. And in 1978, they were proud to become U.S. citizens.

In Reagan, my mother helped elect a Republican who connected with people; who empathized with their dreams, fears and aspirations; who inspired all of us to be our better selves. When he spoke of a “shining city upon a hill,” he painted a picture of an America that welcomed everyone.

How times have changed.

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best,” Trump said,... in announcing his run for president. (Think about that.)

“They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us,” he continued. “They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”

... “If I’m elected, they’re going to be out of there Day One. We’re going to get them the hell out of our country.”
...
And Trump only outdid himself in a September 10 conference call with Alabama Republican activists, during which he claimed he would be able to deport 11 million undocumented immigrants in “18 months to two years, if properly handled.”

Trump may be egregious, but he isn’t alone.

“We should end granting automatic birthright citizenship to the children of those who are here illegally,” Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas said August 19, echoing calls to turn away from nothing less than the 14th Amendment to the Constitution.
...

These are not quotes from people who inspire great things. They are quotes from people who depend on fear to divide Americans and incite — not inspire — voters.
What Reagan knew about immigration

Today's republicans have lost their confidence in America. Instead of Reagan's republican party confident of an America that will transform immigrants into Americans, we have frightened, angry people who fear the very idea that "shining city on a hill."

When a nation goes into decline, it ceases to think of borders as frontiers, and starts builiding walls. Happens again and again. Not here, not yet; we still have more Americans than bunker-builders.

Did your parents go through the standard process of entering the US in order to work and become a citizen? I bet they did.

It's when you stop doing that. It's when you have anyone and everyone rushing through under proper conditions back ground checks vetting and other checks and procedures.

These people rushing in are jumping the que. Passing by those who are taking their time and following proper steps.

This is the perfect opportunity for those who are not upstanding people to break through the line and disappear into the woodwork. This is when those who would never make it or stand a chance to go through proper channels to slip in and carry on their ways in the US.

Nobody is saying that immigration is wrong. In fact it is necessary, in every country. However, it needs proper steps. Proper protocol. Proper paper work. That is impossible with the flooding of the border that is happening now.

I personally have nothing to do with what the 'govt" does, I do not vote. I do not value money over human lives. Would Jesus welcome people who deny Him with open arms?

Sorry, didn't include that as a quote. My most recent immigrant ancestors were 4 generations back.

It's when you stop doing that. It's when you have anyone and everyone rushing through under proper conditions back ground checks vetting and other checks and procedures.

That's how it was until the early 1900s. Precisely when this country became great and powerful.

There have always been nativists, fearful of Germans, Irish, Italian, and other immigrants, in different times, each time predicted that uncontrolled immigration would destroy America. Each time, America got stronger and better.

And it will this time as well. As Reagan pointed out, these people aren't coming here to recreate the societies they left; they come here because they believe in the American Dream, and want to take part in it.
They are as American as the Pilgrim fathers.

Well, if you really believe that you "personally have nothing to do with what the 'govt" does" then it's none of your business what they do in terms of allowing people in or giving them free money and other things.

Would Jesus welcome people who deny Him with open arms?
That's the only people He has ever welcomed with open arms.

This topic is a US of A topic.

Your point? There are people from Australia, Kenya and Uruguay on this thread. Will you tell them, as you did me, that it's of no concern to them?

Do you have any documentation to back that up or is that just your guess that they are Christian?

I'm pretty sure that there are numerous Christians living in the US that are affected by these events.
Show me documentation that I don't have fellow Christians in the US.

Again, I demanded nothing and you are not even complaining about the proper context of my inquiry.
This is pointless.

No, we shouldn't tell anyone that, and I have never told anyone that. Why do you want to tell them that? You think they are beneath Canadians?

You told me:

ArmenianJohn said:
It's absolutely open to anyone, but it doesn't concern Canadians. It is an issue that concerns Americans and some Central Americans.

There are Australians, Kenyans and people from Uruguay on this thread. Are you going to tell them the same thing?

Or is it just Canadians that are not allowed to comment?

I don't understand what you are asking. I see you posted a picture of people in Biden shirts. Do you have documentation showing that they are undocumented non-citizens? For all I know that is a picture of American citizens of Indian descnt in the town square of Springfield, Illinois. Even if they are undocumented non-citizens, there are what, 12 of them?

Ya, that's it. They're from Springfield Illinois.

As much as I totally detest Snopes...

Did People Wear 'Biden Please Let Us In' Shirts at US-Mexico Border?

Migrants waiting at the US-Mexico border have been photographed wearing shirts that say 'Biden, please let us in!'

After President Joe Biden signed executive orders ending several "zero-tolerance" anti-immigration policies instated by former Republican President Donald Trump, a surge of immigrants have begun arriving along the U.S. southern border. Some wearing t-shirts that read, "Biden Please Let Us In."

Texas Guard deployed as migrants, some in Biden T-Shirts, flood border states

You think the democrats are opening borders to let 12 Biden supporters in? LOL!!!

Again, you forget, I stated "some believe". You think that I'm the only one who has heard this view?

Not sure what your point is. Hopefully you have documentation - I mean you wouldn't demand it from others and then not provide it yourself, would you? Oh wait, you would.

I don't give documentation when I state it as a belief.

I do give documentation to facts that others claim to be myths.... and then those people ignore that they have shown to be in error.

It's that double standard thing you have going on, kind of like when I say something you tell me it's "irrelevant" and I wasn't entitled to say it but when you say something you say "this is an open forum and anyone can say anything"... it's an open forum for you, but for me my comments can be "irrelevant"...

Your comments are only irrelevant due to the fact that they were not in line with the context of the discussion. A discussion of which you were of no part.

Amazing double standards you come up with. The cognitive dissonance is glaring and it explains the high level of cognitive dissonance in your political and social views.

Check my retorts to your response..

That's the only people He has ever welcomed with open arms.

The people we are letting in to the country follow a book which, - and I quote 'slay the kaffir (you and I) wherever you find them.' A lot of them do not like us, nor do some of them integrate. We have 'no go areas' for white Christians in some cities. We have Muslim hate preachers on our streets encouraging jihad against us. If I read the Bible in front of him, - I would be beheaded in his country. To have your homeland invaded by a people who come here who would kill or enslave you in their country, who worship a completely different God, and who deny Christ, - is not a good thing. I'm all for welcoming refugees escaping war, however most that come here are single fighting age men who (bypass every other safe country) come here simply for the free money and housing, and that's not good when the country is already struggling to house our own people. I'm afraid to say, - soft touch liberals like you are part of the problem.

You only need to build walls if people are rushing to get in. Doubt if people are rushing in to countries in decline. People rush into countries where they see opportunity for growth, freedom and pursuit of happiness.

The people rushing to get into the US are coming from places with a system of government that is in decline.
