Many feel the desire to get revenge, for offenses real or imagined. For the way you were treated in school, on the job, by your friends and family, by carma, or by whatever. Sometimes on a larger scale as well, such as on other peoples or nations. But what is the best 'revenge' to wreak on those who have offended you?

I have found the perfect revenge: Success!

While others may wish success for you few, whether friend or foe, want you to succeed beyond their own success.

And while success is generally thought of as financial, marital, health, or some other material thing true success is being content with who you are and what you have. Few want others to be content when they are not...and by all indications few are actually content with their lives.

So search out and obtain those things that bring peace and contentment to your life and you will have inflicted the worst revenge possible on others, that is if they ever found out how happy you actually are. ;)

Let's listen to someone vastly more wise than any of us, God communicating to us through the epistles:

19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good

Romans 12 NIV

I found a similar form a vengeance, it was turning the other cheek as an offensive weapon. It worked too well, so I stopped.

I think the should cover an contingency.

Luk 6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
Luk 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
Luk 6:29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.
Luk 6:30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
Luk 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
Luk 6:32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
Luk 6:33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
Luk 6:34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
Luk 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
Luk 6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

I have always thought, the perfect revenge would be praying for the persons Salvation, they would then stop what they have been doing, and become one of the oppressed at the same time, thus learning what it means to be such, while still receiving the best gift I could ever help them attain.

If they're still in your head they've won. Whether you call it success, happiness, proving them wrong, etc. You've allowed a ghost to take up residence. If you're holding on to things from the past—whether its recent or hails from your childhood—you aren't free.

I don't care what you do
What you achieve
Or how you feel

If you're thinking about them you're in chains. Freedom is found in forgiveness and release. When you're truly liberated you can wish them the best without a morsel of pain or anger. I go a step further and pray for them.

That clears the slate. I'm right with God and He handles it. My destiny isn't comeuppance. It was going to happen anyway. They're not part of the picture. That's the difference.

Nothing the Most High assigned can be taken away. No matter what anyone says or does. They may miss their blessing from me. But they may receive it from someone else.

Revenge in essence is malice and the sentiment "I will get that person back" - Not sure if there can be a "perfect" revenge considering what Jesus said on the cross.

There is a certain satisfaction in seeing a person get what they so richly deserve however. ;)

I've seen people humbled, fall on their face, and have to eat their words many times. But there's no satisfaction. When I'm done I'm done. That's someone else's problem. I'm glad they're gone. Toxicity shortens the lifespan.

After seeing the results however, I wasn't sure if the punishment fit the crime.

You may be seeing one side of their correction. You don’t know what's happening inside or behind closed doors.

Some are being rehabilitated, others are taking graduate courses in criminality.

I expanded my vocabulary over the weekend thanks to rantings from a incel rape apologist and his detractors. I've never encountered such madness interspersed with obscenities, wit, and insults. It was a literary macabre and genuine train wreck.

This is a 1 Corinthians 5:5 scenario. He needs salvation or removal. Wherever he goes the people are worsened by his arrival. Prison wouldn't help him. He'd gain followers. Some people are beyond the beyond.

Sans the death penalty we need an island somewhere for such people.

do you think your enemies are keeping tabs on you, lol

if people only realize how little time others spend thinking about them...most cases it's zilch

so why worry about trying to impress people from the past?
they couldn't care less & probably forgot your name
