Hi @Bible Highlighter , I thought I would address your large post in detail so instead of making a group of large posts in response I thought it would be good to make smaller posts that are easier to read and respond to. Let's start and work through your post and examine if there is any truth in your claims here in regards to the Sabbath in new testament by bringing everything you have written to the light of Gods' Word?
New Testament Sabbath Study
(Is the Sabbath really as important as Sabbatarians say in the NT?) Introduction: The word “sabbath” appears 60 times in the New Testament in the King James Bible.
So the Sabbath is used 60x times in the new testament while the first day of the week (Sunday) is used 7x. Why do you think that is?
The word “love” appears 261 times in the New Testament (KJB). The word “charity” (love) appears 28 times in the KJB. This would be a total of 289 occurrences on the word “love” if we were to combine them together. While there may be more words on love, this helps to show us that the weekly Sabbath is not as important as the two greatest commandments (Which are based on love and runs contrary to Ellen G. White, and other Sabbatarians making it appear like the greatest command is the Sabbath). The variation on the word “gospel” appears 104 times in the King James Bible. Again, this is almost at the reach of double the amount we see for the word “sabbath.” The word “grace” appears 131 times in the NT (KJV).
It seems to me that your trying to make an argument here that God's Word is more important than Gods' Word which is not biblical and against the scriptures when Jesus says in Matthew 4:4 that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. For example Gods' 10 commandments are the Word of God the proceeded out of the mouth of God (Exodus 20:1-17) given to God's people in both the old and the new testament scriptures (New Testament scripture support here and here). Your trying to argue here that God's Word is not as important as more of God's Word which makes no sense and is not biblical. So are you really going to try and argue that God's Word is not as important as Gods' Word when it is all Gods' Word and Jesus says we are to live by every word that proceeds out the the mouth of God? Did the Sabbath commandment come our of the mouth of God? YES/NO? If yes then does not the scriptures and the very words of Jesus tell us that we are to live by it?

More to come....

Is 66:23 says that for all eternity after the cross in the New Earth "from Sabbath to Sabbath shall ALL mankind come before Me to worship"

After looking at the verse again a few times, I can agree with the interpretation that it could be referring to worshiping on the Saturday Sabbath the day in the New Earth but again, we are not living at that point in time yet.

Interesting that given that Isaiah is the one writing and his readers are Jews - you can see how they might think that "From Sabbath to Sabbath" is speaking about the Sabbath that they know to be in the Ten Commandments.

That is a step forward in my POV.

Also I agree we are not yet in the New Earth - however (Exegesis and so then "context again") - Isaiah and his readers would also know that -
1. they ARE coming together for worship from Sabbath to Sabbath.
2. The entire world, all-mankind- is not joining them in that as of today.
3. They are not living in the New Earth yet
4. The gentiles were just singled out for Sabbath keeping back in Isaiah 56:6

So the Is 66:23 text shows that INSTEAD of "Sabbath deleted at the cross" - what is depicted is Sabbath observance fully remaining for all eternity after the cross in the New Earth.

It means "What matters is keeping the Commandments of God" 1 Cor 7:19 cannot be assumed to mean "just the nine commandments since the Sabbath is deleted at the cross"

Which is the point I was trying to make.

Liberty in what a Jewish person can do on the Sabbath Day Pre-Cross):(Jewish Ministry): (Appearances of breaking the Sabbath) This includes an activity of exemption in profaning the Sabbath): (Approx. 7 activities of liberty in regards to the Sabbath are mentioned): (This suggests liberty of the Sabbath and not a stricter adherence to it): Matthew 12:1 Matthew 12:2 Matthew 12:5 (2 x) (Word sabbath mentioned two times). Matthew 12:8 Matthew 12:10 Matthew 12:11 Matthew 12:12 Mark 2:23 Mark 2:24 Mark 2:28 Mark 3:2 Mark 3:4 Luke 6:1 Luke 6:2 Luke 6:5 Luke 6:6 Luke 6:7 Luke 6:9 Luke 13:10 Luke 13:14 (2 x) (Two times for the word sabbath). Luke 13:15 Luke 13:16 Luke 14:1 Luke 14:3 Luke 14:5 John 5:9 John 5:10 John 5:16 John 5:18 John 7:22 John 7:23 (x 2) (two times for the word sabbath) John 9:14 John 9:16
The scriptures you have provided here were in regards to the Scribes and Pharisees interpretation of how the Sabbath was to be kept. However, according to Jesus this was never Gods intended purpose of how the Sabbath was to be kept or why it was made for all mankind according to Jesus in Mark 2:27-28. Jesus taught us how to correctly keep the Sabbath and that the burdens that the Scribes and Pharisees had placed on the Sabbath were not biblical. Jesus taught us in the gospels that it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath days (see Matthew 12:1-12). So the scriptures here show that the interpretation of the Scribes and Pharisees in regards to keeping the Sabbath was not the way that God intended the Sabbath to be kept according to Jesus in Mark 2:27-28 and Matthew 12:1-12. Jesus taught the correct understanding of the meaning of the Sabbath and how the Sabbath was to be kept and why he made the Sabbath for all mankind.
The purpose of the Weekly Sabbath was for a day of rest for man:Mark 2:27 (Sabbath was made for man and man was not made for the Sabbath) (x 2) (The word sabbath mentioned two times)
The Sabbath was more than a day of rest it was a memorial of creation and a celebration of God as the creator of heaven and earth pointing backwards to the finished work of creation where on the "seventh day" of the creation week God blessed the "seventh day" and made the "seventh day" a holy day of rest for all mankind (see Mark 2:27; Exodus 20:8-11; Genesis 2:1-3).
Future Prophecy: The mention of the existence of the Sabbath as a calendar day (But it is not mentioned as a commandment or Law under the New Testament): Matthew 24:20
Matthew 24:20 is in context to Jesus answering the question of the disciples which was when shall be the sign of your coming and the end of the world *Matthew 24:3 the first thing Jesus says is Take heed that no man deceive you *Matthew 24:4. In Matthew 24:20 Jesus goes on to say But pray you that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day. This was at the time a future prophecy. You think that if the Sabbath of Gods' 4th commandment was to be abolished Jesus would have told His disciples by not right? But no Jesus expected His disciples to be still continuing to keep the Sabbath as a holy day just as he did according to God's 4th commandment. What do you mean that the Sabbath was not mentioned in the new covenant as a commandments? It is Gods' 4th commandment of the 10 commandments and Jesus and all the apostles and disciples kept God's 4th commandment of the 10 commandments according to the scriptures. (Jesus taught and kept the Sabbath of God's 4th commandment; see Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24; The Apostle kept the Sabbath of God's 4th commandment; see Acts of the Apostles 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4)

Jesus Keeping the Sabbath (Pre-Cross) Jewish Ministry): Mark 1:21 (Jesus taught on the Sabbath in Jewish synagogue) Mark 6:2 (Jesus taught on the Sabbath in Jewish synagogue) Luke 4:16 (Jesus taught on the Sabbath in Jewish synagogue) Luke 4:31 (In Jewish city of Capernaum, Jesus taught Jewish people on their Sabbath days).
Agreed Jesus and all the disciples kept God's Sabbath according to God's 4th commandment and all of God's people attended church on the Sabbath. Keep in mind here what your forgetting is the very words of Jesus in Mark 2:27-28 that he said He is the Lord of the Sabbath (creator see John 1:1-4; 14) that he made for all mankind not just the Jews as there was no Israel, no Jew, no Moses, no law and no sin when God made the Sabbath for all mankind on the "seventh day" of the creation week in Genesis 2:1-3.
Jesus Work on the Cross Done Before Sabbath High Day: (This Was Christ’s Unique Plan of Redemption For Mankind That No Man Can Do Himself): Mark 15:42 (Jesus work at the cross not done on the Sabbath) Luke 23:54 (Jesus work at the cross not done on the Sabbath) John 19:31 (Jesus work at the cross not done on the Sabbath) (2 x) (Word sabbath mentioned two times).
According to the scriptures Jesus died on the preparation day (Friday) of the Sabbath (Mark 15:42-43) and rested in the tome according to the commandment *Exodus 20:8-11 and rose again on the first day (Sunday) of the week (a working day) *Matthew 28:1.
Side Note 1: Please take note that Jesus did rise from the grave on the weekly Saturday Sabbath and ascended on Sunday to His Father (completing His plan of redemption for mankind). Jesus' work of the resurrection was a major work for mankind (Which was done on the weekly Sabbath). Granted, while Christ is our Heavenly High Priest and priests are exempt from priestly duties on the Sabbath, we are to walk in newness of life in the likeness of His resurrection (Romans 6:4-5). Meaning we can (walk) work on the Sabbath like Christ, too.
Where do you find that claim that Jesus rose on the Sabbath day in the scriptures. I do not think a single Church would agree with that claim which is not biblical. Where is the scripture that says Jesus rose on the Sabbath? There is none. The only reference to Jesus rising from the tomb is to the first day of the week *Matthew 28:1. Where is the scripture that says God’s 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest? – There is none. Doing good on the Sabbath and doing God’s work on the Sabbath is not the same as doing our own work on the Sabbath which according to the scriptures is sin *James 2:10-11; 1 John 3:4.

Jewish People Merely Keeping the Weekly Sabbath Day (Pre-Cross):(Note: Even the apostles said and did things sometimes without fully understanding God’s ways. One big example is that the apostles were unaware of the resurrection of Christ beforehand; In fact, Jesus rebuked two disciples for not knowing about Christ entering into His glory (resurrection and ascension) on the road to Emmaus - See: Luke 24:13-35). Matthew 28:1 (Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary) Mark 16:1 (Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James, and Salome) Luke 23:56 (Jewish women from Galilee).
According to Jesus the Sabbath was made for all mankind and he is the Lord of it in Mark 2:27-28. The Sabbath was made therefore at creation on the seventh day of the creation week according to Genesis 2:1-3 where God blessed the “seventh day” and made the “seventh day” a holy day of rest for all mankind. There was no Jew, no Israel and no Moses, no sin and no law and no plan of salvation given because it was not needed. So to try and make claim that the Jewish people merely were keeping the Sabbath pre-cross is simply not biblical because all the disciples of Jesus continued keeping Gods 4th commandment according to the scriptures post-cross after the death and resurrection of Jesus until they died according to the scriptures which was in accord with what Jesus taught them about the Sabbath (see Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24; The Apostle kept the Sabbath of God's 4th commandment; see Matthew 28:1; Acts of the Apostles 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4.
Time of When The Apostles Were Seeking to Evangelize Jews on Their Sabbath Day(s): (Paul said he became a Jew so that he might win the Jews - 1 Cor. 9:20): Acts of the Apostles 13:14 Acts of the Apostles 13:27 Acts of the Apostles 13:42 Acts of the Apostles 13:44 Acts of the Apostles 16:13 Acts of the Apostles 17:2 Acts of the Apostles 18:4
Where does it say in scripture that the reason why the Apostles kept the Sabbath was not to keep the Sabbath but to only keep the Sabbath to evangelize to the Jews on the Sabbath day? – There is no scripture. You’re trying to put an interpretation on the scriptures that is not biblical. As shown earlier there is no scripture in all of God’s Word that says Gods’ 4th commandment has now been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest just the same as there is no scripture that says that the Apostles only kept the Sabbath to do evangelizing. Paul if you remember was not the Apostle to the Jews but to the gentiles (Romans 11:13). Paul spoke of Christ every opportunity that he had as did all the Apostles. This does not mean that all the Apostles kept the Sabbath only to evangelize and not keep God's 4th commandment according to the scripture *Exodus 20:8-11. They kept the Sabbath because it is God’s 4th commandment of the 10 commandments because they loved God and believed and obeyed Gods’ Word. Jesus was their example who kept the Sabbath and they followed him (see Luke 4:16; Acts of the Apostles 16:16; 17:2). Your interpretation of the scriptures here is therefore not biblical and your trying to read into the scriptures what the scriptures do not say and do not teach.
Some Usefulness or Benefits of the Old Law: (However, This Chapter is a Point Against Gentiles Keeping the Law of Moses and Circumcision; See: Acts of the Apostles 15:1, Acts of the Apostles 15:5, and Acts of the Apostles 15:24): Acts of the Apostles 15:21 (It appears the focus here may potentially be evangelism) by the use of this word.
As posted earlier somewhere to you your interpretation of Acts of the Apostles 15 has Paul in contradiction to Paul. Acts 15:1-2 which is the context of the chapter says [1], And certain men which came down from Judea taught the brothers, and said, except you be circumcised after the manner of Moses you cannot be saved. [2], When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain of then should go to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.

Note: What question where did they go to Jerusalem to discuss according to the scriptures? The subject matter and the question being discussed in Jerusalem was not are Gods' 10 commandments a requirement and the standard for for Christian living but is "circumcision" a requirement for salvation for new gentile believers!

Your interpretation of Acts of the Apostles 15 has Paul in contradiction with Paul when he says sometime latter after the decision at Jerusalem to the Corinthians believers in 1 Corinthians 7:19 [19] Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, BUT THE KEEPING OF THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD. Acts 15 was never over the question are God's 10 commandments still the standard for Christian living. It was over the question is circumcision a requirement for salvation for gentile believers (Acts of the Apostles 15:1-2).

Do you believe you are commanded to build an Ark like Noah?

No and I have no text saying that for all eternity after the cross mankind will be called to "build an ark".
I also do not have a Gen 6 text telling all mankind to be the builders of the Ark in Noah's day.

Also, nothing is said that it is a command, either.

Sabbath is one of the Ten Commandments and they are called "the Commandment of God" by Christ in Mark 7:7-13.

I am sure it is possible God will not have to give commands in the final New Earth (Whereby we could drop the ball and potentially sin). Sin will be no more in the New Earth. I think the saints will naturally just want to worship God. Nothing will hinder them in wanting to worship God, as well. They have already proven themselves in being faithful in this life.

Paul is the one saying "what matters is keeping the Commandments of God" 1 Cor 7:19
John says "this IS the Love of God that we KEEP His Commandments" 1 John 5:3

No NT writer presents God's Commandments as "a bad thing" or something to be ignored if you are a really good saint.

Plus, I imagine worshiping God in the New Earth will be an amazing rush like we cannot imagine, and so it would be like the best thing you can ever imagine X 100. People will just be drawn to naturally worship God.

which is how NT writers describe obedience in the life of the saints even today.

Jewish reference for a Sabbath Day Travel: (Beginning of Early Church in Its Infancy): (Meaning: The Church Had to Learn and Grow Still): Acts of the Apostles 1:12
What is your point here? You have not made one except to show that God’s people were still keeping the Sabbath after the death and resurrection of Jesus from Acts of the Apostles 1:12.
Do Not Let Anyone Judge You According to Sabbath Days: (This Suggests that the Weekly Sabbath Command Has Ended): (For if the Weekly Sabbath was in effect, we would expect others to properly judge us for not keeping it): Colossians 2:16
Colossians 2:16 does not say that God’s 4th commandment has been abolished or does it say anywhere that God’s 4th commandment has ended as you claim here. Colossians 2:16 says Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days. The scripture context is to meat and drink offerings, new moons and sabbaths (plural) in the Feast days (see where Paul is quoting from in Ezekiel 45:17).

According to the scriptures there were many kinds of annual ceremonial sabbaths in the annual Feast days linked to the new moons and meat and drink offerings of the old covenant. These annual ceremonial sabbaths in the Feast days included; (1) Feast of Unleavened Bread (first and last day) *Leviticus 23:6-8 (2) Feast of Trumpets *Leviticus 23:24-25 (3) Day of Atonement *Leviticus 23:27-32 (4) Feast of Booths *Leviticus 23:34-36 (5) Feast of First Fruits *Leviticus 23:39 (6) Feast days of Holy convocation of no work (sabbaton Colossians 2:16 *Leviticus 23:7-8; 21;24; 27; 35-36 that were all shadows of things to come pointing to Jesus as the promised Messiah and Savoir of the world and not God's 4th commandment that points backwards to the finished work of creation (Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11). What your teaching is not biblical.

If one you were to look at any of the categories of the use of the word “sabbath” on my list, they would see that it is not a defense that the Sabbath command is still binding. One categorical list is proving the point of partaking in certain activities involving one’s liberty of the Sabbath day. 7 specific actions are mentioned among the 33 verses that show that the Lord has a more liberal view than the Pharisees on what you can do on the Sabbath. This means that the Lord is showing a pattern or change here. God wants to show us that the Sabbath is not always to be so strictly followed as the Pharisees kept it (Which is a foreshadow of the complete end of the Sabbath command for our dispensation). Verily, this liberty in doing certain things on the Sabbath that the Pharisees did not approve of did in fact give way to the end of the Sabbath command as we read in Colossians 2:14-16, Romans 14:5, Acts of the Apostles 15:1, Acts of the Apostles 15:5, and Acts of the Apostles 15:24.

Conclusion: Not once do we see the word “sabbath” used as a command in the New Testament.
Not really but allow me to explain why from the scriptures. According to the scriptures God’s 4th commandment seventh day Sabbbath according to the words of Jesus was made for all mankind *Mark 2:27 on the seventh day of the creation week where God rested on the seventh day from all His work of creation that he had made in Heaven and earth where God blessed the seventh day and made the seventh day a holy day because he had rested from all His work of creation *Genesis 2:1-3. God commanded His people to keep the seventh day Sabbath as a holy day of rest in the 4th commandment of the 10 commandments as shown in Exodus 20:8-11. All of God’s people all through time from the Old Testament patriarchs and prophets to the New Testament times of Jesus and the disciples and Apostles have all kept God’s 4th commandment seventh day Sabbath unbroken according to the scriptures during the lifetime of Jesus and continued keeping Gods’ 4th commandment Sabbath after the death and resurrection of Jesus until their very own deaths. To claim that the Sabbath is not used as a commandment therefore in the new testament is not biblical because the Sabbath is God’ 4th commandment of Gods 10 commandments and according to the New Testament scriptures everyone was keeping it (see Matthew 12:1-8; 10-12; 24:20; Mark 3:1-5; Luke 6:1-10; 13:14-16; 14:1-5; John 7:22-23; 9:14; Mark 1:21; Mark 6:2; Luke 4:16; 31; Luke 14:1; 23:56; John 2:6; Matthew 16:24; Matthew 24:20; Matthew 28:1; Acts 13:14; 13:27; 13:44; 15:21; 16:13; 17:2; 18:4)
For there are no sins listed as sabbath breaking among the other list of sins that the apostle John and the apostle Paul mention in the New Testament.
This is not true at all. According to the New Testament scriptures the very definition of sin is breaking anyone of God’s 10 commandments *James 2:10-11; 1 John 3:4 and not believing and following Gods’ Word *Romans 14:23. According to God’s New Testament scriptures God’s law gives us the knowledge of good (moral right doing) and evil (moral wrong doing); sin (moral wrong doing) and righteousness (moral wrong doing) *Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4 and according to James if we break anyone of God’s 10 commandments we stand guilty before God of sin *James 2:10-11, Of course Gods law includes Gods’ 4th commandment which is one of God’s 10 commandments *Exodus 20:8-11 that gives us the knowledge of what sin is when broken according to the scriptures. Your claims here are not biblical.

In fact, the largest list of the use of the word “sabbath” (as mentioned in this study) is in reference to activities in having a liberty in regards to the “sabbath.” (33 verses for approximately 7 liberties or actions done on the weekly Sabbath day).
As posted earlier and shown through the scriptures Jesus is the Lord and creator of the Sabbath that he made for all mankind according to Mark 2:27-28 and taught us that how to correctly keep the Sabbath as a holy day of rest and that the Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath and that it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath day (Matthew 12:1-12), What you have posted here only supports what has already been shared with you from the scriptures that supports the Sabbath of God’s 4th commandment that is one of God’s 10 commandments that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken *Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4.
One would expect to find that if the Sabbath was as important as SDA's and Sabbatarians claim, there would be numerous examples in the New Testament of the necessity of keeping the weekly Sabbath command but it simply does not exist in the NT.
According to the new covenant scripture everyone of Gods’ 10 commandments are repeated in the New Testament (scripture support here linked). Jesus and the Apostles in the New Testament scrpitures all taught that all of God’s law is the standard of Christian living (scripture support provided here linked). What your posting here is not biblical as shown in the scriptures provided in the linked posts.

Actually, the NT suggests the exact opposite in that the weekly Sabbath command is no longer binding upon believers under the New Covenant.
According to the scriptures these are your words not God’s Word. According to the scriptures in both the Old and New Testament Gods’ 10 commandments give us the knowledge of good (moral right doing) and evil (moral wrong doing); sin (moral wrong doing) and righteousness (moral right doing) *Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Psalms 119:172 and if we break anyone of them including God’ 4th commandment we stand guilty before God of sin *James 2:10-11. There is not one scripture in all of God’s Word that says God’s 4th commandment has now been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest. This is a man-made teaching and tradition that has led many to break God’s 4th commandment. We should be careful here because Jesus says in Matthew 15:3-9 that if we knowingly follow man-made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God we are not worshiping God. If we are not worshiping God by knowingly breaking his commandments to follow man-made teachings and traditions that are not biblical the question should be asked if we are not worshiping God who are we worshiping; God or man?

For we cannot make assumptions that the Mosaic Laws that were given to the Jews under the Old Covenant applies to Gentile believers under the New Covenant. If there was ever a time to resolve the weekly Sabbath command issue, it should have been addressed to us at the Jerusalem council in Acts chapter 15 (But it wasn't). On the contrary, we learn that Gentile Christians are not under the Law of Moses (Which would naturally include the weekly Sabbath) (See: Acts of the Apostles 15:1, Acts of the Apostles 15:5, and Acts of the Apostles 15:24).
As posted earlier your interpretation of Acts of the Apostles 15 has Paul in contradiction to Paul.

Thank you for the like on my OP and for the kind reply, but I actually find religious artworks of my Lord to be offensive. I see them as false idols. For nobody can capture what the Lord Jesus actually looked like. Hope you understand. Before I did not have a problem with them until recent years. In other words, it’s like somebody drawing a picture of your parents that you love dearly and yet it looks nothing like them.
Icons are theology in color. For much of the history of the Church, the vast majority of christians were illiterate and icons played an important role in teaching theological truth. For example in the icon above, Christ is pulling Adam and Eve out of Hades by the wrists. They are not contributing to the work of their rescue. Christ is standing on the Gates of Hades which He has destroyed and is surrounded by righteous patriarchs and kings of the Hebrews including John the Baptist, Abel (holding the shepherds staff), and King David who are now released from captivity in Hades.

Christians also gathered on the first day of the week (Acts of the Apostles 20:6-7) (1 Corinthians 16:1-2), and nothing is said that they also gathered on the weekly Sabbath for brotherly and sisterly fellowship.
According to the scriptures in Acts of the Apostles 2:46-47 the disciples met every day of the week and broke bread together. That does not make every day of the week a holy day of rest or one of Gods’ 10 commandments now does it? There is not one scripture in reference to “the first day” of the week that tells us anywhere that Gods’ 4th commandment has now been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest. As posted earlier, Sunday worship is a man-made teaching and tradition that has led many to break God’s 4th commandment. We should be careful here because Jesus says in Matthew 15:3-9 that if we knowingly follow man-made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God we are not worshiping God. Something to prayerfully consider here...
The only time we see in the NT the apostles out and about on a weekly Sabbath was to evangelize others in missionary work.
According to the scriptures the Apostles were evangelizing at every opportunity they were given just like Jesus did. That does not mean that they were being disobedient to Gods’ commandments. You’re reading into the scriptures what the scriptures do not say and do not teach.

The So in conclusion, the SDA or Sabbatarian view of the Sabbath in the NT is clearly not as they would hope it to be in their major focus of promoting the Sabbath. For me: Colossians 2:14-16, Romans 4:5, and Acts of the Apostles 15 stand as powerful testimonies against those who say we must keep the Mosaic weekly Sabbath command (Despite the Sabbatarians' odd interpretations on these verses).
Detailed scripture responses have been sent to you many times both now here in this thread and in past discussions with you in regards to Colossians 2:14-17 showing from the scriptures that the laws in ordinances are the judgements of God for sins penalty (breaking God's commandments) which is death that have been nailed to the cross for those who through faith believe in Christ not God's 10 commandments, while it is the shadow laws of remission of sins including the meat and drink offerings the new moons and the sabbaths (plural) in the annual Feast days that included; (1) Feast of Unleavened Bread (first and last day) *Leviticus 23:6-8 (2) Feast of Trumpets *Leviticus 23:24-25 (3) Day of Atonement *Leviticus 23:27-32 (4) Feast of Booths *Leviticus 23:34-36 (5) Feast of First Fruits *Leviticus 23:39 (6) Feast days of Holy convocation of no work (sabbaton Colossians 2:16 *Leviticus 23:7-8; 21;24; 27; 35-36 that were all shadows of things to come pointing to Jesus as the promised Messiah and Savoir of the world and not God's 4th commandment that points backwards to the finished work of creation (Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11). While we all know that there is no scripture reference to God's 4th commandment whatsoever in Romans 14 which is talking about eating and not eating on days that men esteem over other days. Romans 14 does not even mention God's 4th commandment or any of God's 10 commandments or is it talking about what days God esteems over other days. Finally I am still waiting a response from you on the last pages in regards to Acts of the Apostles 15 which is talking about circumcision from the law of Moses as a requirement for salvation for new gentile believers (Acts of the Apostles 15:1-2) not weather Gods' 10 commandments are still a requirement and the standard of Christian living. That interpretation of the scripture we all know has Paul in contradiction with Paul when he says to the Corinthians believers after the decision at Jerusalem "Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing BUT THE KEEPING OF THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD" - 1 Corinthians 7:19.

Just by looking at the usage of the word “sabbath” one can honestly come to the conclusion it is not in the way that SDAs and or Sabbatarians desire. So we can say with confidence that the Lord's day is Sunday in Revelation 1:10, and not Saturday because we can see a pattern in Scripture of the phasing out of the Old ways (Which would include the Sabbath). I hope this was a blessing to someone today.
Looking at what the scriptures alone say in regards to Gods’ law which includes God’s 4th commandment “seventh day” Sabbath, no one can deny that all of God’s people from Genesis to Revelation all kept and were obedient to God’s law including God’s 4th commandment “seventh day” Sabbath which is one of God’s 10 commandments that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken according to the New Testament scriptures in Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4 and James 2:10-11. There is not a single scripture in all of Gods’ Word that says that Gods’ 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest. Just the same as there is not a single scripture that says anywhere that “the Lords day” is Sunday or the first day of the week. If the question is asked “What day is the Lords day?” Scripture alone answers this question in Matthew 12:8 in the very words of Jesus that says “For the son of man is Lord even of the Sabbath day”. Therefore “the Lords day” according to the scriptures alone is the Sabbath day not Sunday. Claiming Sunday is “the Lords day” is not biblical.

................

CONCLUSION:

1. There is not a single scripture in all of Gods’ Word that says God’s 4th commandment has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest.

2. There is not a single scripture that says that “the Lords day” is Sunday or the first day ot the week yet the scriptures alone in the very words of Jesus tell us that “the Lords day” is the Sabbath day in Matthew 12:8.

3. Every scripture you have provided here has been looked at in detail and once context has been provided does not say what you are claiming they are saying.

For example you claim that;

(a). Jesus and the Apostles only kept the Sabbath after the death and resurrection of Jesus because they were evangelizing yet there is nothing in the scriptures to suggest they were only keeping the Sabbath to solely evangelize and not keep Gods' 4th commandment according to the scripture.

(b) You claim that Romans 14:5 is talking about the Sabbath of God’s 4th commandment when there is nothing in the whole chapter of Romans 14 that says it is talking about Gods’ 4th commandment and the subject matter is eating and not eating on days that men esteem not what days God esteems.

(c) You claim that Acts 15 is talking about God’s 10 commandments when context shows it is talking about the question of circumcision from the law of Moses being a requirement for the salvation of new gentile believers (Acts of the Apostles 15:1-2). This being a contradiction to the bible as after the decision of Jerusalem Paul says to the Corinthian believers in 1 Corinthians 7:19 Circumcision is nothing and circumcision is nothing (Jerusalem decision) but the KEEPING OF THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD. Your teaching has Paul in contradiction with Paul and the rest of the bible.

(d) You claim that the Apostles and disciples gathered on the first day of the week from seven scriptures in all the New Testament therefore it most be “the Lords day” with out any of these scriptures having any reference to “the Lords day” and despite the scriptures telling us in Acts of the Apostles 2:46-47 that the disciples and Apostles met every day of the week.

(e). You claim that Colossians 2:16 means that God’ 4th commandment has been abolished when the scripture says no such thing and that the scripture context that Paul is quoting from in Ezekiel 45:17 is to the meat and drink offerings, the new moons and the sabbaths (plural) in the annual Feast days.

(f). You claim that because God’s Word uses the Greek words Sabbath in the New Testament 60 times therefore it is less important than other scriptures which is like saying Gods Word is not as important as this Gods’ Word because it is used more when the scriptures teach that Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God – Matthew 4:4. All of God’s word therefore is important according to the scriptures and we are to live by all of them. Once again your arguments are not supported by scripture.

(g). You tried to make an argument that because Jesus taught us how to correctly keep the Sabbath then we are now free to break the Sabbath. Yet this is no where written in the bible or the scriptures you provided.

……………….

Let’s be honest here. There is not a single scripture you have provided here that says Gods’ 4th commandment has now been abolished anywhere and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest. There is not a single scripture you have provided here or anywhere in this thread that says Sunday or the first day of the week is “the Lords Day”. Now this puts you in a bit of a dilemma. If there is no scripture that supports, your teachings that Gods law has been abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest whose words are you teaching? Gods or mans? Something to pray about.

Take Care.

As shared in the posts and scriptures provided above there is not one scripture you have shared here that says anywhere that Gods' 4th commandment is now abolished and we are now commanded to keep Sunday as a holy day of rest. So what else have you got?

No and I have no text saying that for all eternity after the cross mankind will be called to "build an ark".
I also do not have a Gen 6 text telling all mankind to be the builders of the Ark in Noah's day.

Correct. Which shows that we have to rightly divide to know which commands apply or not.

You said:
Sabbath is one of the Ten Commandments

These are commands given to Israel and not the church. Gentile Christians were told that they do not have to keep the Law of Moses and or to be circumcised to be saved (See: Acts of the Apostles 15:1, Acts of the Apostles 15:5, and Acts of the Apostles 15:24). For we cannot be justified by the law of Moses (See: Acts of the Apostles 13:39). For if we are justified by the Law, we have fallen from grace (Galatians 5:4). Yes, believers are to keep the 9 out of the 10 but that is only because they are commands given to us by Jesus and His followers. We don’t follow Moses, but we follow Jesus.

You said:
and they are called "the Commandment of God" by Christ in Mark 7:7-13.

No mention is made of the Sabbath command or the ten in Mark 7:7-13. This is important to understand because Jesus was making changes to the Law at the Sermon on the Mount even before the cross. How can He do that? Well, Jesus is God after all, and He was just merely following His Father’s commands.

You said:
Paul is the one saying "what matters is keeping the Commandments of God" 1 Cor 7:19
John says "this IS the Love of God that we KEEP His Commandments" 1 John 5:3

Sabbatarians just see Sabbath when there is no mention of the Sabbath. They see the word “commands” and think Sabbath. That is poor exegesis.

You said:
No NT writer presents God's Commandments as "a bad thing" or something to be ignored if you are a really good saint.

I am not one of those sin and still be saved type Christians. I believe we have to obey God’s commands as a part of eternal life. But which commands? Love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself (Luke 10:25-28). To enter life we are to keep which commands? “Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother” (See: Matthew 19:17-19).

Nothing is mentioned about the Sabbath. Granted, this does not mean the Sabbath may not have been in effect at this time, but after the cross, it simply no longer applies anymore (Colossians 2:14-17). Just as the laws on animal sacrifices no longer applied anymore when the temple veil was torn from top to bottom. But the silence of the Sabbath command shows that God was looking to phase out that command for the New Covenant.

Icons are just another word for idols in my view. We are forbidden in making images of any gods and making a false image of Jesus (Who is God) is an idol. I know. Your caught up in it, and you cannot see it, but you will see it one day even if you don’t today. Also, we cannot pray to dead saints otherwise we would be making them out to be like God who alone has the power to receive prayer. Nowhere does God allow for us to contact the dead by trying to pray to them. Bowing down to idols (which I believe would include icons) and kissing them: Yeah, we see that condemned in the Bible.

SDAs and Sabbatarians simply look at the word “commandments” in the Bible and they ignore the context and immediately they think Ten Commandments instead. This simply shows the error in their own thinking.

For example: The apostle said: “If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 14:37).

So Paul’s writings are to be regarded as the commandments of the Lord. This is not referring to the Ten Commandments. This is referring to the commands of our Lord Jesus Christ in general. For Jesus is our Lord under the New Covenant, and Jesus gave us a new commandment.

For Jesus said:
“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” (John 13:34).

1 John 3:23 says that to believe in Jesus is a commandment. It’s not one of the Ten Commandments.
