I was asked this in a different forum and upon review thought it might be helpful to start a separate thread.
What is Seventh-day Evangelical Adventism?
IT is a Doctrinal Movement in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We exist to. 1. provide an open doctrinal platform for the Seventh-day Adventist Church. 2. promote A Biblical-Theological approach to scripture with in the SDA church 3. promote accuracy in SDA theology 4. promote scripture as the only source of Authority in the SDA church. 5. to revive the Bible Conferences of the 19th and early 20th century. 6. Analyze and Synthesize doctrinal trends & teaching outside the SDA church and review them for adoption and implementation in the SDA church. 7. provide on a conference level a platform for advanced doctrinal teaching for laymen, through the adoption of the Adventist Theological Council. 8. To develop a Leadership Certificate that promotes our view and Promises that the SEA views are promoted 9. To promote gospel center preaching in the SDA church. 10. to map & identify churches that are SEA friendly and promote them through a website.
Many Adventist pioneers have identified themselves with this approach weather they realize it or not. J.H Waggoner, Stephen Haskell, A.T. Jones, E.J. Waggoner, and is some instance James White. In Modern Adventism we identify Ron Halverson Sr, Dwight Nelson, Greg Nelson, Desmond Ford, & Doug Batchlor, in the early part of his ministry, With the Seventh-day Evangelical Adventist Movement in the Chruch. All have shown a Strong Personal Relationship with the LORD, A Power Personal Testimony of the Lords working in their lives and an Openness to Doctrinal Accuracy and a willingness to find the truth no matter where it leads.
