At the Western Conservative Summit this weekend, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis beat former president Donald Trump in a presidential preference straw poll.

DeSantis just edged out Trump in the poll, conducted by the Centennial Institute at their event. The approval poll asks participants to select each potential candidate they would approve of for president in 2024.

Because each participant can choose multiple answers, the end result shows who was popular among the most people and so on.

The other candidates in the top five were Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, at #3, former secretary of state Mike Pompeo at #4, and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott at #5.

I'll be honest with you: it doesn't matter who gets elected to the presidency, it doesn't matter if Republicans take both the house and the senate, nothing is ever going to change for the better. The genie of Critical Race Theory and "Woke-ism" is not going back in the bottle, this is going to be the new normal and it's up to the people in communities and neighborhoods to fight back against it, because the government has shown now that they're just going to cram down the woke-ist agenda regardless of what we have to say about it, because Woke-ism is being enforced not so much by the government, but by the private corporations that actually run the country.

So what can we really do? We can start by not giving these private corporations our money. If a corporation promotes CRT or the woke-ist agenda, simply do not do business with them. If you think you have to do business with them, then you need to learn to do without whatever it is that that company offers. These companies need to feel financial pain from massive swaths of America that refuse to give them their money and the statement as to why we refuse to give them our money needs to be clearly communicated in an undeniable way.

If you have children in public schools, do whatever you have to do to pull them out and send them to a Catholic or at least a Christian school. If you can't do that, figure out how to homeschool them, whatever you have to do to keep their minds free from indoctrination into woke nonsense. I have a friend who owns his own business but doesn't make that much money and two of his daughters go to Christian school on a scholarship somehow.

Stop using social media entirely. Social media promotes woke ideology and CRT and it is specifically in their corporate mission to do so. Deactivate and delete your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube accounts or begin using alternative platforms like Parler & Rumble.

One of the best symbols of defiance you can make is to hang an American flag outside of your house or in your window (if you live in America). The woke left hates the American flag and flying it serves to inspire other people to resist the destruction of traditional values.

Other things you can do: Continue to patronize businesses like Chik-fil-A, Hobby Lobby, and local businesses that don't engage in politically correct woke nonsense. If you watch football, stop watching and attending games until the players stop kneeling during the national anthem and until the NFL stops promoting alternative lifestyles that are contrary to Biblical and church teaching and make sure that the NFL knows that this is the reason why you have stopped.

But remember above all else that this is world hates us and is hostile to us and our values. We will probably never be able to change the culture to one that honors Christ, but we can at least resist the cultural Marxist project that we are being subjected to.

I can recommend good and free homeschooling resources to anyone who wants it. Catholics should avoid schools which indoctrinate children against the faith.

Catholics should avoid schools which indoctrinate children against the faith.

According to my remaining living friend, this is what's essentially going on in our area now except that in addition to indoctrinating children against Christianity, there's also indoctrination against being: white, straight, male, "cis-gendered" (whatever the heck that means) & that his son frequently has confrontations with black students who demand the he apologize "because you be white"

Unfortunately the only Catholic high school is 50 miles north of where we live, so his son has to tough it out for two more years but he has told said son to simply start saying "Yeah, I'm racist. Sure thing. Whatever you want" and that if he has to fight about it and gets suspended or expelled, that he'll have his wife homeschool him for the final two years of high school. Only problem is, the son has some little girlfriend or something and seeing her is the only reason he likes going to school still.

The two youngest daughters are both going to a Christian school next year. I might want to add that this guy was Catholic when he was younger but does not go to church or anything now, but understands the importance of Christianity in American tradition and agrees that Christians are starting to become a targeted class in this country (thanks to conversations with yours truly).
