I pray the News Media in the USA and World Submits and Surrenders to Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible in ALL Ways, Shapes, and Forms.

IJN
I hope your prayer works, but having researched what kind of people are running the media, I’m personally not encouraged.

My prayer is that people will see through the lies and deceptions in general of the media and turn to the Lord for wisdom. I also pray that they will turn away from television and secular entertainment in general, as it is overflowing with all that is unrighteous, and with anti-Biblical propaganda.

God can Do Anything.

I pray that God causes the godly to thrive at their jobs hosting news media and I pray that the ungodly fail at their jobs hosting the news media.

I pray that television is good when it is godly tv.
I pray that entertainment is good when it is godly entertainment.

I pray that Jesus and the Bible is promoted more and more in the media.

Dear God DioTrio I pray that every zeptosecond, minute, week, year, century, eon, duodecillion years, googolplexian years, and all the time in between is used more and more to represent TRUTH, Pure Truth only until that is all that is left.

The media is controlled by businesses to make profit, most on advertising. It is almostly without exception under secular control, and I see no patterns to suggest it might change. There are a handful of Christian channels but they are a tiny minority and I'm not sure what their Neilson ratings are now days.

Maybe a NEAT idea is A Godly, Christian Operating System that would be developed to filter out ALL ungodly content. The OS would run on every device no matter how old. It would be called ShalomOS because God is of Peace. There would be 00.00% Yielding to ungodly content in any and all ways. The OS would become hardwired to the device once installed, so no other unwanted software or operating systems could be installed or replace ShalomOS.
The installation would be FREE and provide complete FREEDOM on everyone's devices without the unwanted evil, wickedness, filthiness, and sinfulness of the ungodly media outlets.
This could be cool. Thanks be to God for not only giving his children life...but eternal life.

The Lord can do almost anything but no way always intercedes. He does not remove all evil out of the world. In fact we are told it will grow more and more sinful before Messiah returns to destroy the wicked.

I never pray for world peace because the Bible makes it clear that ain’t gonna happen. I do pray for peace for individual nations and people. However I know no nation will ever have true peace until the new Millennium. We see that in the end times, in fact, the whole world is in a horrible destructive upheaval.

The Lord can do almost anything. One thing he cannot do is change his word. The picture that we see in the Bible of the world for the past present and future is basically of corrupt and sinful people who do not repent. In Revelation the rulers of the world, which would include the politicians and the media, aren’t exactly being pictured as Saints.

As Messiah said, few will take the straight and narrow path to heaven. If there were 100 people in a room and you were asked to take out a few how many would you take out? Rhetorical question.

I personally was told to give up TV, quite some years ago. I felt the Father told me it was being used to harden the hearts of Americans. You can believe what you want, but since then all I have learned about television and secular entertainment is of more and more of the things that the creator hates.

So I pray not that people will see the light in the entertainment industry and in the political realm and reform, but that the Lord’s elect will stay away from, and be protected from, what is unholy.

Thanks For Your Input @LoricaLady

I am hoping for the beginning of the new kingdom of the new heaven and new earth to show itself in the old heaven and old earth.

I pray for a Christian revolution in Technology and Music, Television, Movies, and Video Games.

I pray Jesus is the main Star in New Hollywood Movies, Cutting Edge Video Games, Sick Music and More.

I pray for the merging of the future new earth being merged to the old earth. And the new future heaven to be merged to the old heaven. So All Evil and Wickedness is discarded.

It would be cool to see this Earth we currently live in be ETERNAL but just completely without SIN.

This Life Aint Over, so I'm going to keep praying for revolution and complete change of mankind, the media, technology, and way of life so it all Submits to Jesus and the Holy Scriptures and the Holy Trinity at all times.

But Ultimately, God only knows how things are going to turn out.

Have a Blessed Night. Peace aka Shalom - Jay

I like to pray in ways that match what the Bible says. The Bible never talks about merging the old with the new. Remember the parable about the wine skins.

What we see when Messiah comes back, which i and many others think will be before very long at all, is that this old earth is going to be pretty much destroyed. Then a new, Edenic, earth and the millennium of peace will begin.

Also, this world that we live in will never be eternal. We are told that at a certain point in time it will pass away and no more come to mind. The heavens will be rolled up like a scroll, too.

it is good that you hope for good things for the world. But, once again, since the Bible never shows the world as becoming more confirmed to the Word, but more rebellious all the time, how can it hurt for believers to get prayers so that they are considered worthy when they leave this earth one way or another?

I look forward to a day waking up and life is in perfect harmony, peace, joy, and fulfillment. And that this is Eternal.

Even though the world gets worse I pray life gets better for God's Children. For we are in the world and not of it. I pray for great abundant life for all my family, all my children of God, all my friends, all my loved ones. I pray for blessing upon blessing on my cousins, aunts, uncles, and the people I know, love, and care about. I pray for such great blessing on the Brethren of Cristo that this life don't seem so bad even though the world is getting more corrupt. I seal these words by the Holy Ghost In Jesus Name Amen

Thank you for asking. I believe what is stated in the Bible. If I am incorrect in anything, anyone feel free to correct me.
(With the exception of the pre-tribulation topic, which I do not want to debate.)

There will be a great time of tribulation such as this world has never experienced before. Some say it will last for 3 1/2 years. Some say it will last for seven years. I haven’t researched enough to know for sure myself. In any case, at the end of that, what is called the great tribulation, Messiah returns. And boy is he mad.

The evil rulers of the world will gather together in the great delusion that they can defeat him. But they will basically turn into blood pudding.

I am not what some call pre-tribulation, at all. I have searched the Bible and find no such thing there. What I see are people saying “Look at this verse over here, and I’ll interpret everything for you. Look at that verse over there and I’ll read between the lines and tell you what it really means.”

The real Bible is real clear when it tells you what’s going to happen. It also says that in the world there will be tribulation. But it says that the elected of the Lord will not experience wrath.

When Noah went into the ark, there were no left behinders. There were no second chances for those outside the ark. When Lot and his family left his city there was no one left behind who lived. There were no second chances.

Messiah said that the last days would be as in the days of Noah and is in the days of a Lot.

After Noah and Lot left then the wrath of the Lord fell. I believe we will see the same pattern. Yes I believe there is a rapture. But I believe it is pre-wrath. We may have to go through some stuff before then, but when Messiah returns we will be caught up to be with him and we will escape the wrath.

After Messiah has destroyed his enemies, which is accompanied by an extreme upheaval of the planet, there will be a new re-creating of the earth. Things will be as they were in Eden. We are told the lamb will live with the wolf, the lion will eat straw like an ox, a person of 100 years old will not be considered old, And so on.

This is all in the book of Revelation. At the end of 1000 years of peace the devil will be released from his hellish surroundings, and will
deceive some on earth.

There will be a very short rebellion and then he, the beast and the false prophet will go into the fiery pit where they will never be able to bother us again.

We who make it through the tribulation and are faithful to the end will reign with Messiah for 1000 years. We are told in the book of Revelation that those who keep the Lord’s commandments, and are faithful to the end, will be saved.

I gotta this one other thing concerning the Commandments. First, I do not think we have to be perfect to get to heaven. Nevertheless we will get more reward depending on how obedient we were.

As for the Commandments, the Heavenly Father spoke the 10 Commandments at Mount Sinai to the terrified Israelites below. He audibly spoke them.

The Bible says he will not alter what goes out of his mouth. Either that is true or you can’t count on the Bible.

At Mount Sinai he said the Sabbath was from nightfall on Friday to nightfall on Saturday. Elsewhere we were also told that the commandments are everlasting, for all generations. All means all.

Some quote Paul to say we can now have a Sunday Sabbath. First, Paul never really said that. Second, he had no authority whatsoever to change anything whatsoever that the Lord ordained, even spoke out loud and wrote with his very finger.

As with the pre-tribulation rapture, what I see are people misinterpreting Scriptures and saying they mean something that they don’t really say.

But that is a little off topic and you’ll have to check out those things for yourself.

Blessings!

Thank you for the question. Many people will say that we can worship on any day of the week. That is absolutely true. However the Bible says that we are to rest on the Sabbath.

Even our animals are to not be cooped up, and per Isaiah we see we are not to buy or sell on the Sabbath. This means that eating out and shopping online are not a good idea on the Sabbath.

Isaiah also said that the day is to be devoted to the Lord. I think it can be a great family time if it doesn’t get bogged down in secular things, like watching Netflix.

Just as a sidenote, my personal opinion is that maybe a movie like Hacksaw Ridge would be OK as it is based on a man’s heroism, not to mention his devotion to the Sabbath.

The Bible says not to cook on the Sabbath. I personally prepare my Sabbath food before it begins and eat picnic style on the Sabbath.

What helps you feel closer to the Lord? Bible study is always good. The Bible does not actually say you have to do that on the Sabbath. For one thing, the Israelites did not have the access to Scripture as we do. They were pretty literate, but bible scrolls were incredibly expensive.

I think it is great that you asked me that question. But the person to ask the best is the Lord. He will be so happy to guide you. And look into your own heart and ask yourself if what you are doing on the Sabbath leads to a state of rest in him or not.

if you ever want to see a great breakdown about the Sabbath, both biblically and historically, I would recommend Psalm 119 Ministries’ video The Sabbath.

Just as a sidenote, when I first started feeling led to keep the Sabbath, I was confused by all the conflicting opinions on the topic.

Finally I decided that actions speak louder than words and so I should research what first century believers were doing. I found out that Roman catholic, secular, and protestant first century historians all agreed on something for once. They agreed that the early believers kept the true Sabbath, the high holidays mentioned in Leviticus 23, and the food laws.

“YHWH” aka God, “never changes.”

If you want to research these Biblical issues further, then I would recommend Psalm 119
Ministries’ videos called The Pauline Paradox. They really do their homework. The videos are very scholarly, I think though they are not boring at all personally, and sometimes are even kind of visually glitzy at times.

Also I researched when the Sabbath actually starts. In ancient times, from what I understand, the Israelites began their Sabbath when they could see two stars in the night sky. I celebrate at astronomical twilight, which for my area would currently be at about 11 PM.
Messiah said that those who kept the commandments, and taught them to others, would receive great reward in heaven.

Blessings to you and yours as I have prayed.

Thanks a bunch @LoricaLady I really appreciate your input on Sabbath day the day of rest.

Yes, you are right for God cannot change. Hebrews 13:8

But what is of God can change.

I believe God's Kingdom consists of God, His Angels, His Believers, His Animals, His Wildlife, and Everything Else Created along with Heaven and Earth.

So Just God Alone Cannot Change. But what is around Him like His environment, society, and the world can change.

So I am leaning towards that since we live in a different world other than the old testament world, and the people following God are more than just Israelites, then the laws back then could possibly be different than the laws and rules applied today.

Also Colossians 2:16 may tie in here as it says: Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

The Contemporary English Version says: Don't let anyone tell you what you must eat or drink. Don't let them say you must celebrate the New Moon festival, the Sabbath, or any other festival.

And The Good News Translation says: So let no one make rules about what you eat or drink or about holy days or the New Moon Festival or the Sabbath.

But that is Awesome that you @LoricaLady feel it necessary with your walk with the Lord to observe the Sabbath day all the time.

It must tie in to having a Jewish heritage and also believing in Yeshua Messiah.

That is great and really honorable to be able to keep the Sabbath and other laws in the Bible.

Again thanks so much for your input and conversation and view on things it helps out quite a bit and causes me to dive a little deeper and ponder over important subjects.

Thanks Again And Have A Blessed Day - Peace - Jay

in regard to that passage in Collosians to whom was it being spoken? It was being spoken to newly converted former pagans. They are being told not to let their pagan contemporaries judge them when they celebrate what? The Mosaic laws. Notice we were told that such things are a shadow of what? Things past and over with? No, things to come, as in the new millennium.

Stop and think. Stop and think please. Did Paul have the authority to change what the Almighty ordained? Why would he have such authority? Where in the Bible does it say he was given any such authority? There are many bad translations out there currently. Any translation tries to act like Paul could change what the Lord ordained, is grossly in error.

Who is your Lord, is it Paul? I don’t think you would say so.

Paul actually kept the law of Moses. This can be seen in Acts 21 where he takes a temple vow to prove that. (See the KJV where the word Moses has not been changed.) It can be seen when he tells some Jewish authorities that he has not done anything to violate the Jewish law. Therefore we know he was keeping the Sabbath, keeping the high holy days, and keeping the food laws.

Some say he was being a Jew to the Jews and a gentile to the Gentiles. That is one of many myths in mainstream Christianity. Nowhere in the Bible do we ever see a divide, in terms of obedience to the Lord, for Jews and non-Jews.

In the Old Testament we are told that the same law is for the native born Israelites as for the foreigners. In the New Testament we are told there is neither Greek nor Jew. The old testament and new testament always agree, if you do your research and don’t just listen to what people say who haven’t done the research.

There are quite a few places in the Bible where we see that Paul is keeping the law of Moses, ditto other believers. But it would take too long to get into that. If you want me to PM you the verses I will do so.

In the mainstream church there is cognitive dissonance. This means that people are believing two opposing things at one time.

On the one hand you are agreeing that the Lord does not change. But you are adding a but…. You were saying but it might be that things are really different now and that the Lord didn’t really mean it when he said he doesn’t change.

You are saying but it might not be true when the Lord said he doesn’t alter what goes out of his mouth.

The real change is with the sacrificial death of Messiah. But even that agrees with the old testament, for it was prophesied in Isaiah 53 and other places in the old testament. For example we are told that when the Lord returns that the Jews will look on the one they have pierced and mourn. I think that is in Zachariah.

There is no true disconnect between the Old Testament and the New Testament. That is a tradition of men. Messiah said that not one little dot or mark would be changed from the law and the prophets until heaven and earth disappear. They’re still here!

He said he did not come to nullify the law and the prophets, but to fulfill them. For example he did not nullify the commandment about murder, but fulfilled its meaning by saying that even hatred is murder., And by the way, regarding the Sabbath, he told his followers that when the abomination of desolation came, which would be in 70 A.D.that they should pray that their flight not the in the winter or on the Sabbath. This is because the Sabbath is eternal and is a day of rest.

The Lord said that the laws of Moses are for all generations. That means they are for all generations. He says what he means and he means what he says.

Let me give you an example of how people say things have changed, when really they don’t have any New Testament support for their beliefs.

Wr are told that Messiah changed the food laws. No when he spoke about food he was speaking about clean foods. He didn’t consider pork etc. to be food, any more than you consider roadkill to be food.

We also know he did not change the food laws because when Peter had his meat on the sheet dream, he protested that he had never eaten anything unclean.

We are told in mainstream Christianity that his dream meant that we can now eat what we want to, and not follow the Mosaic laws on food.

When Joseph was in prison the pharaohs baker and cup bearer both had dreams about food. The interpretations given had zero to do with food.

The same was true for Peter’s dream. After his dream was over he puzzled as to what it could mean. It never occurred to him that it could mean that he could now eat unclean foods. Then there was a knock at the door. Some “unclean” Gentiles were wanting to fellowship with believers.

The interpretation for Peter’s dream is given two times, as all dreams in the Bible are given interpretation. Two times we are told “This means…” No mention of food is ever heard again after the dream. Instead we are being shown that the dream symbolized the acceptance of Gentiles into the kingdom with the chosen people.

Again, Peter who was so close to Messiah, said he had never eaten anything unclean. Therefore we know Messiah did not change the food laws.

The Almighty is never going to change the food laws because just as he says, he never changes. He says what he means and means what he says.

To fully show that the New Testament upholds the Mosaic law, and in particular the food laws, see Acts 15 which you will likely never hear a sermon on ever in mainstream Christianity.

Non-Jewish converts are the topic. They are being told to abstain, for one thing, from blood and from the meat of strangled animals. According to the law of Moses you refrained from blood, for example not having sex when a wife was menstruating, and from bloody meat.

Strangled animals still have all the blood in them, and they have certainly not been slaughtered according to Mosaic law where the blood is drained out of their throats before they are eaten.

Later we see in that chapter that the non-Jewish converts are expected to be going to the synagogues, on the Sabbaths, to learn the rest of the law of Moses. That was the tradition for converts at the time.

This is not really a forum for debate. I don’t really want to debate it anymore. I do appreciate your interest and courteousness, but I have given you some resources that I have personally found to be helpful.

It is really between you and the Lord.

Truth takes time to sink in when we have been indoctrinated for years, even so many centuries, into error. That has certainly been my experience.

The old and New Testaments have basically been very well preserved. However, there is a lot of confusion when you are reading about something that was written 2000 years ago in a foreign language with a totally different culture from what we see today.

That is why there is a lot of information out there to help clear up what seem like apparent inconsistencies, but really are not.

Please take this all up with the Lord. I gave you the resources from 119 Ministries. And they can say everything better than me anyway.

So I am going to bow out of this discussion, hoping and wishing the very best for you and yours. :)

P.S. I don’t know how much you’re interested in all these things, but just to be more precise on things I said above, it is true that the Mosaic Law is still in effect. However, there’s a lot of it that cannot be obeyed currently. With the abomination of desolation in 70 A.D., the Romans totally destroyed Israel and the temple and sent the Jews into a dispersal around the world.

Quite a few of the Mosaic laws cannot be obeyed now because they need a temple and someone from the Levitical priest hood to be fulfilled.

However, we see that in the millennium of peace that things go back to normal. From the old testament we learn that, believe it or not, there will be animal sacrifices again in the millennium of peace. The Lord changes not.

Of course we can still obey much of what the Lord ordained, in fact most of it. That is what Israelites had to do during the Assyrian and Babylonian captivities.

Blessings! May we all come into all truth.
