Hope In This Life And In The Resurrection
1 Corinthians 15:
12
Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some
among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen.
14 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is vain and your faith is also vain.
15 Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God
that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise.
16 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen.
17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!
18 Then also those who have passed on in Christ have perished.

As these words attest, some began to question the truth of the resurrection.
Paul made this statement in response:

1 Corinthians 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men
the most pitiable.

The present discussions commonly turn these words on their head. So much
emphasis is now placed on dying and going to heaven, or ultimate eternal life,
that the Voice of the Spirit is now:
If in the life to come only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men
the most pitiable”.
We are called to be His Witnesses.

John 13:35 By this all will know that you are My disciples,
if you have love for one another.

The Gospel is For Life. Now.
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free
from the law of sin and death.

Mark 12:27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living:
you therefore do greatly err.

Psalm 146:2 While I live I will praise the Lord;
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

John 15:27 And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with Me from the beginning.
John 17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word;
Revelation 11:3-4 And I will give [power] unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred [and] threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

In the Kingdom Gospel, Death is not the same thing as Hell. The Pelasgians say that Hades holds all of the souls that have passed on, and that there are different areas of Hades, and Tartarus in their legend is the pit in Revelation. So, when God says He will punish Bel in Babylon, and drag out of his mouth that which he has swallowed... it is equal to Zeus making Cronus cough up the children he has swallowed down. In fact, Zeus being substituted for a rock in that legend, equals Jesus being the rock of our salvation. Therefore, in the Kingdom and in Pelasgian Mythology, Satan is defeated and made to release those who believe and follow Jesus. And so...

The Way is the Resurrection

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto Him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. 7 If ye had known Me, ye should have known My Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him.

Revelation 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

I have to admit, that this is the hardest commandment Jesus ever gave me to do. I must be more like rough-and-ready Peter than the poet John... although John is called one of the sons of thunder... which speaks to yet another Pelasgian Legend.

Dear ones,
Didn’t we hear this:
  • For Christ did not please himself, but as it is written, "The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me." -Romans 15:3
I try to understand the word,”reproach.” Oxford dictionary defines as verb, address (someone) in such a way as to express disapproval or disappointment and as a noun, the expression of disapproval or disappointment.

Are not many who disapproved or disappointed with God ? And that blame or disgrace fell on our Beloved Savior, Christ?
Didn’t they by their disapproval and disappointment gave FALSE WITNESS ?

Yet, our Beloved Lord didn’t please Himself but bear all things.

This is what we have heard:
  • For zeal for your house has consumed me, and the reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me. -Psalms 69:9
  • When I wept and humbled my soul with fasting, it became my reproach. -Psalms 69:10
  • I am the talk of those who sit in the gate, and the drunkards make songs about me. -Psalms 69:12
When many disapproved or disappointed at our God, let us know that our Beloved Lord WEPT and humbled His soul with fasting; that is how He endured all things. Our precious Lord knew that He has been the talk of those who disapproved or disappointed about Him, that they bore FALSE WITNESSES about Him.

This is what we have heard:
  • For it is for your sake that I have borne reproach, that dishonor has covered my face. -Psalms 69:7
  • I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother's sons. -Psalms 69:8

So our dear Christ, has borne THESE FALSE WITNESSES or reproach for the sake of God.

Didn’t we hear that Christ said that He has become a stranger to his brothers ? So has it not those who believed before has become brother to the Lord, now they gave false witness about Christ and mistreated our beloved Savior as stranger. Has not many treated Jesus as alien, when actually they are the sons of the covenant?

What has these FALSE WITNESSES OR REPROACH done to our Beloved Christ?
This is what we have heard:
  • Reproaches have broken my heart, so that I am in despair. I looked for pity, but there was none, and for comforters, but I found none. -Psalms 69:20
Dear ones, let us be mindful of our words. Let us guard our mouths from evil. Yes, let us not speak deceit. Let us not break the heart of our Beloved Redeemer. Let us be compassion to our Lord and to those whom He called us to be with. Let bring true comfort of love to our Beloved by loving Him with first love and do things that please our dear Lord the things that He commanded for our good.

To God be the glory. Let our spirits dear near Him to comfort Him with our love.
Let us be found in union with Christ’s love.
Let us be TRUE WITNESSES of His goodness and wonderful works of the Lord to the children of men, that bring great delights to Christ, the Son of God.
