Love One Another
Romans 13:8-10 ESV

“Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, ‘You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,’ and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”

To love one another with this kind of love is to prefer what God prefers, to like what he likes, and to choose his choices for us. And what God prefers is that we die with him daily to sin and to self, and that we walk in his righteousness and holiness, and that we love one another with his love.

This kind of love is not like human love. It is not dependent on the one loved being lovable (in our eyes). We love others as Jesus loves us, and he died for us while we were yet sinners, while we were still his enemies. He didn’t love us because we are lovable, but because he is love.

Since this love comes from God, because he is love, this love will be rooted in holiness, righteousness, moral purity, honesty, and faithfulness. Therefore, when we love others with this kind of love, we will not willfully sin against them. We will not cheat on, lie to, betray, or lead others to sin.

So, this kind of love will in no way encourage or help or ignore deliberate, willful, habitual, and premeditated sinning against God coming from those who profess to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of their lives. It will speak the truth in love, and it will help a brother/sister to come out of sin.

This love is also not self-seeking. It seeks out what is for the good of others. It considers what is best for them, as God determines “best,” not as humans do. So, when we love with this love, we willingly lay down our lives and our reputations to love others as God loves us and gave himself up for us.

And why did Jesus die on that cross for us? He died that we might die with him to sin and live to him and to his righteousness. He died, too, that we might no longer live for ourselves but for him who gave his life up for us. And he shed his blood to buy us back for God (to redeem us) so that we would now honor God with our lives (and with our bodies).

So, if we are loving others as Jesus loved (and loves) us, we will be concerned about their walks of faith in Jesus Christ, that they know the Lord, and that they are living free from slavery to sin, and that they are walking in faithful obedience to our Lord, which is for their good. And we will care about their physical needs, as well.

Time to Wake Up!
Romans 13:11-14 ESV

“Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.”

Those who are outside of genuine faith in Jesus Christ are spiritually asleep, but sometimes (or often now days) Christians can drift off to sleep spiritually, as well, and need to be reawakened. They get lazy about their walks of faith, and they get entrapped by the world again.

They cease to love as Jesus loves us, and they wander off to living again in immorality, in indecency, in faithlessness, in selfishness, and in worldliness, entertaining and being entertained, with little regard for their own spiritual lives or for the spiritual lives of others.

I see this much on social media where so many Christians are talking just like the world about the things of the world, and they are not talking about Jesus or sharing his gospel or showing concern for their own walks of faith or those of their fellow Christians. It is more about just having fun.

And they are not loving others with the love of God because they are not showing concern for the spiritual walks of others. But many of them are sinning against others via lying, cheating, adultery, hating, gossiping, backbiting, unforgiving, mocking, and slandering others.

But we must realize here what the Scriptures teach about our salvation. We aren’t saved (once) and then we live, and then we die and go to heaven. We must walk according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh if we want to be saved from our sins and have eternal life with God.

So, if you have wandered far from the purity of your devotion to the Lord, or if you have never died with Christ to sin, and if you have never walked in obedience to his commands, and thus you are living to please your flesh, and not God, please know that a confession of Christ as Savior is not alone going to get you entry into God’s heaven.

For, if you sow to please the Spirit, from the Spirit you will reap eternal life. But if you sow to please the flesh, from the flesh you will reap destruction. If you walk according to the Spirit, you will have eternal life, but if you walk (in conduct, in practice) according to the flesh, you will die in your sins.

So, it is time to WAKE UP! If you are living for the sinful pleasures of your flesh, it will not end well for you, no matter what you profess with your lips. It is time to put to death what is earthly in you. You must die with Christ to sin, not just once, but daily, and live to him and to his righteousness if you want to have the hope of eternal life with God.

The Christian life is not just about getting our sins forgiven so we go to heaven when we die. It is about Jesus Christ’s life being lived in us and out through us for the glory and praise of God. It is about us being surrendered to Jesus Christ, him being our Lord (master), and us following him in obedience to his will for our lives.

Jesus Christ is now to be our lives, and our lives are to be lived for him according to his will and purpose for our lives. Our lives are no longer our own, to be lived however we want, for Jesus bought us back for God that we would now honor God with our lives and do his will.

He Gives Purpose

An Original Work / June 9, 2012

“Listen to Me when I’m calling to you.
Obey freely My word.
Follow Me in all of My ways.
Do all that I say.
Hear Me gently whisper to you
My will for your life and future.
Give all of your life and heart to
Follow Me always.”

Repent of your sins and worship Jesus.
He’s your Lord and Master.
He died for your sins so you could
Live with Him today.
He has a plan for your life and
He gives purpose and direction.
He gives meaning to your life,
So follow Him today.

“I love you so much I gave My life for
You to walk in My ways,
Living for Me each day as you
Bow to Me and pray.
Witness for Me of your love for Me and
Of My grace and mercy,
How I died to save you of your
Sins now and always.”

You are not saved from your own sin by "walking according to the Spirit".

You are saved from your sin when Jesus dies for them on the Cross.

The NT teaches that Jesus "BECAME SIN", and that is for all, yet not all have this forgiveness.
To have this forgiveness you have to :"all who call on the name of Jesus, shall be saved".

And to be "SAVED"< is not temporary, and its not based on you being good later.

Salvation is All of God and none of you.

Discipleship is all of you with God's help.

You are posting verses.

However, You put the condition of "self effort" as the means to keep yourself saved.
Paul says that if you try to be justified by deeds, you are "fallen from Grace".
This means that if you are not trusting in Christ alone to keep you saved for eternity, then you have left that real faith, and are in self faith, and that is how you "fall from Grace".

That type of faith, is not faith in the redemption that God offers as "the GIFT of Salvation".

Sorry, I don't have time to discuss this right now. I am saying what the Scriptures say. Not my words. Later.

Luke

Jesus’ words: Luke 9:23-25: “And he said to all, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?’”

John

John 14:23-24: “Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.”

1 John 1:5-9: “This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

1 John 2:3-6: “And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says ‘I know him’ but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.”

1 John 3:4-10: “Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.”

Paul

Romans 2:6-8: He will render to each one according to his works: 7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; 8 but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.

Romans 6:15-16: What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?

Ro. 8:3-14: “For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

“You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

“So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”

1 Corinthians 6:9-10: “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”

2 Corinthians 5:10: For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

Galatians 5:19-21: “Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Galatians 6:7-8: “Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”

Ephesians 5:3-6: But sexual immorality and all impurity or covetousness must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints. Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving. For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

Colossians 1:21-23: And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach— if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.”

Your link is legalism, and denies the Grace of God.

Here is what it teaches, as "Salvation", and its a lie.

"""""So, if we want to come after him, i.e., if we want to put our faith and trust in him to be our Lord and Savior, we need to understand that our salvation from sin means we deny self, and we die daily to sin and to self, and we follow Jesus in obedience to his commands (New Covenant).""""""

Notice that your false gospel is putting the condition of WorKS and SELF EFFORT as a PART of The BLood of Jesus.
This is the false gospel of ... Works + The Cross.
So, that is : Galatians 1:8
