Hi Bob, how can we pray w/o using words? Are you referring to the times when the Holy Spirit prays for us? .. e.g. Romans 8:26.

p.s. - as an aside, it may interest you to know that what St. Francis is quite famous for saying ("preach the Gospel daily, use words if necessary"), he never actually said, nor would he, as an extremely active, itinerant preacher/evangelist, have agreed with such a sentiment if he'd heard someone else say it See below:

Yes, it refers to the times we cannot express our petition to God with words. That's when the Holy Spirit intercedes for us.
