Hey, guys.

So I have been thinking about this for a little while... how do you sow to the Spirit, and what does that mean?

Galatians 6:8
For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Proverbs 16:33
33 We may throw the dice, but the LORD determines how they fall.

I throw the dice. I do that in my spirit. It's a way for me to be with God/Jesus/The Holy Ghost.

I also have topics/subjects that I sow, like patience and joy. I understand that we will reap what we sow once we get to heaven.

What do you guys sow, and how do you do it?

Hello Nick01; here is some powerful scripture to read brother

Words to the People
26 Jesus answered them and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled.

27 Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal.”

28 Therefore they said to Him, “What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?”

29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”

30 So they said to Him, “What then do You do for a sign, so that we may see, and believe You? What work do You perform?

31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.’”

32 Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven.

33 For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world.”

34 Then they said to Him, “Lord, always give us this bread.”

35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.

36 But I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe.

37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out.

38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

39 This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day.

40 For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”

With fruits of the spirit? To love according to 1 Corinthians 13;

1If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

Paul writes : If - - I (Himself) speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not - - have love. I (Himself) have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.

What is tongues defined as? Strong's Greek: 1100. γλῶσσα (glóssa) -- the tongue, a language
What is angels defined as? Strong's Greek: 32. ἄγγελος (aggelos) -- an angel, messenger
What is love defined as? Strong's Greek: 26. ἀγάπη (agapé) -- love, goodwill

2 If I have should have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

Paul writes If I (Himself) should have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I (Himself) am nothing.

What is prophecy defined as? Strong's Greek: 4394. προφητεία (prophéteia) -- prophecy

What is mysteries defined as? Strong's Greek: 3466. μυστήριον (mustérion) -- a mystery or secret doctrine (Truths about the Eternal God and The Son of God the Lord Jesus Christ and all sorts of details from God dealing with the hearts of human beings, along with many other topics and perspective that come from Gods perspective and how God views and see things by going and reading scripture and learning about a myriad of topics about any type of subject. Keep seeking God and the Lord Jesus Christ.)

What is knowledge defined as? Strong's Greek: 1108. γνῶσις (gnósis) -- a knowing, knowledge
gnṓsis (a feminine noun derived from 1097 /ginṓskō, "experientially know") – functional ("working") knowledge gleaned from first-hand (personal) experience, connecting theory to application; "application-knowledge," gained in (by) a direct relationship. See 1097 (ginōskō).

And having no love; Paul refers to himself as being nothing.

3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

Paul says here if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and If I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love; it profits me nothing.

Have you ever had any type of experiences before? Void of love? That is what Jesus Christ came to bring us the ability to have a renewed heart, and to be renewed in our mind to have the ability by and through the spirit of Christ to have love in our lives now today. To have comfort and rest in going to the Father and trusting in Christ Jesus who gives us the ability to be free from the bondage of our old former past lives and living reborn again in Christ Jesus with-in you today and just to continue asking God and the Lord Jesus Christ to be there for you and read scriptures and dig deep and enrich your life with knowing you have a great and awesome God who is mighty in strength and understanding with you in your life; Who loves you; and cares about you very much. And God is so pleased with the Lord Jesus Christ His Begotten Son; because of Him we are able to be made right with God because of the Lord Jesus Christ's righteousness and not our own righteousness because nothing we could say, or do, can ever amount to what Jesus Christ done for the entire world.

What love God did show to send the Son of God Jesus Christ to come to die for the ungodly at just the right time. (1 John 4 - I would recommend just reading the whole chapter it is so short it encourages and explains how God is love. It says it twice once in verse 7 again in verse 15).

4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,

Paul goes on to write: Love is patient. - Love is kind and is not jealous. - love does not brag --

and is not arrogant --

5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,

Paul goes on to write: Love does not act unbecomingly - it does not seek its own, -- is not provoked --

Love does not take into account wrong suffered - In my opinion everyone has suffered in their life to some type a degree or another. Though we suffer injustices in this world;

The Lord Jesus Christ suffered to He died alone on the cross, and forgave everyone while dying on it. He loved us, and desires for us to grow and get to know him, and about His Father too.

6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

Love does not rejoice in unrighteousness - but rejoices

with the truth

7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things ~ Especially when it comes to having love towards God and your fellow man and rejoicing in the truth of things over lies and deception that might throw you off course every once in awhile but continue to God and seek the answers found in the bible that you might have. Faith and Love. It the only two things that is required out of any Christian believer today. Faith and Love. (But also be encouraged to Grow and go see what that bible might have to say you might be surprised at you see reading along the way.)

8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.

Love never fails, but if there are gifts of prophecy; they will be done away:

If there are tongues, and they will ceases

If there is knowledge, it will be done away with. ~ (All of these relating to death I believe)

9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part;

For we know in part we reveal the truths of the mysteries of God in part

10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.

But when the completion comes; the partial will be done away with.

11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.

Paul goes on to explain when he was a Child I use to speak like a child; think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.

Paul compares himself to when he was a child. He was always thinking, reasoning, speaking like a child. This seems to me to suggest a picture of what a spiritual babe in Christ may look like. There are many Christians today who enjoy to bicker over who might be right or who might be wrong; without giving much consideration of just trying to see what God truly says on these matters, so because of this we talk about all sorts of different topics and sometimes younger people in the faith will fight and bicker when it comes to some things. I know from my experience I use to do it a lot but since growing and maturing my life has turned around much for the better all praise be to God and the Lord Jesus Christ. That is what I believe Paul means there when he says I became a man; He became a spiritual mature understanding person who showed love and compassion towards others and encouraged people in their faith as they were out there in the areas they were living out in those times way back when in the early 30ads and onward.

12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

Paul writes here :1 Corinthians 13:12 Greek Text Analysis

We see for presently through a glass of obscurity; then however face to face; presently I know in part; then however I will fully know as also I have been made fully known

13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Paul writes here : Now faith, hope, love abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.

What is abide defined as? Strong's Greek: 3306. μένω (menó) -- to stay, abide, remain
What is faith defined as? Strong's Greek: 4102. πίστις (pistis) -- faith, faithfulness
What is hope defined as? Strong's Greek: 1680. ἐλπίς (elpis) -- expectation, hope
What is love defined as? Strong's Greek: 26. ἀγάπη (agapé) -- love, goodwill

It all comes from Christ Jesus friend, who lives with-in us. He sows seeds through and from us by faith the Spirit of Christ comes from the Father to encourage and support and having love for others reminding us of what has been said by the Lord Jesus Christ. (Galatians 2:20)

How do you sow?

Dear one,
We all should considered the question that you raised : how do you sow to the Spirit, and what does that mean?

Didn’t we ask that we may be given the answer ? Yes, that we may sow to the Spirit and reap eternal life.

This is what we have heard:
"A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it. -Luke 8:5

We heard the Lord explained :
Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. -Luke 8:11
The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. -Luke 8:12

So what should we sow to the Spirit?
The word of God, the seed.

Why do we sow the seed or the word of God to the Spirit? This is what we have heard:

so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. -Isaiah 55:11

So we sow to the Spirit, that the word of God shall not return to God empty but FULL-FILL for the Word shall accomplish that which God purpose, and shall succeed in the thing which God send the Word.

In other words, we sow to the Spirit, that those in union with Christ shall not return to God empty but fulfilled, for those in Christ shall accomplish that which God purpose, and shall succeed in the thing which God send Christ.

The question remain,”How do we sow in the Spirit?”

This is what we have heard:

But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him"' -1 Corinthians 2:9

these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. -1 Corinthians 2:10

For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. -1 Corinthians 2:11

So we sow to the heart of God or the Spirit of God by loving Him.

Likewise, we have heard:
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. -1 John 4:7
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. -1 John 4:8
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. -1 John 4:9

So when word of God planted in us by the Father —His love, that is Christ was given to us by the Spirit in our hearts, this love of God was made MANIFEST among us.

How this love of God was made MANIFEST among us ? This is what we have heard:

We love because He first loved us. -1 John 4:19

So when we saw the Word of God! Did we perceive His love ?
So when we heard the Word of God? Did we understand His love ?
When we perceive and understand the word of His love that we treasured in our hearts !
Truly when we perceive and understand His first love, the love of God is made MANIFEST in our lives; that we love Him.

So we sow to the Spirit by loving Him. And from the Spirit of God, we will reap eternal life.

Do you use your spirit to sow? Like your spirit arm/hand to place seeds? Its like you physically sow , with your arm/hand, but you use you spirit. thats what i do.

Dear one,
This is what we have heard:
And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. -1 Corinthians 2:13

And our Lord Jesus said:
If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things? -John 3:12

So Jesus gave us examples of earthly things to explain to us heavenly things, that He interprets spiritual truth to those who are spiritual and who considered what He said are Spirit and Life.

As we have heard our Lord Himself have said:
It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are Spirit and life. -John 6:63

Just a farmer break a fallow ground, that is, unused or unusable ground before sowing seed. So we gave the ground of our heart to be broken, that is, we confessed and surrendered the sins in our hearts to be crucified at the cross,so that
the ground of our hearts ready to be sowed with the word of God by our Lord, the Son of Man.

In other words, our Lord Jesus sowed the word of God into our spirits, that is, our hearts.

In other words, our Lord sowed His love into our hearts.

As for what we heard in Galatians 6:8, that said:... the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. -Galatians 6:8

So we who sows to the Spirit of God, we sow by loving Him through the word of God, that is Christ.

In other words, we love the Spirit of God by having first perceived and understand Christ’s love that are in His words.

For we heard:
We love because He first loved us. -1 John 4:19

So we sow to the Spirit by first perceiving and understand Christ’s first love through His words. Through Christ’s love, we return to God; for Christ shall accomplish what God the Father’s purpose for us to be in union with Himself ; for Christ shall succeed in what God the Father have sent Him for us to be union with His love.

In other words, since God is Spirit, we commune with God through our spirits.
So as we treasured His words in our hearts, we sowed the word of God in our hearts. What we sowed we reaped; when we sowed His love in our hearts, we reaped the fruit of love; when we perceived and understood Christ’s love through His words that are Spirit and Life, we then understood:we love because He first loved us.

Since we heard:
and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. -Romans 5:5

We knew after we have been baptized with Holy Spirit by our Lord Jesus, we knew Holy Spirit dwell in our hearts. So when we treasured His words in our hearts, we sow to the Spirit; for when we treasured His words, we are saying what we love what Christ has spoken to us in love.

Since Christ’s words are Spirit and Life; from the Spirit of God we shall reap eternal life, that is, life in union with Christ in His love.
