Philippians 1:6 seems to say apostasy would happen if we have the holy ghost but

There are plenty of warnings through out the bible to keep having faith, to walk in the spirit. Not going back to the law, but being guided and chastise when we not follow, by the holy ghost we know we are sons of God. Also Peter says in baptism we are save 1 Peter 3:21. And we receive the holy ghost Acts 2:38. Why apostasy happens? Can baptismal regeneration be rejected by the believer. Why would someone reject the grace of God and stop seeking his forgiveness.

Apostasy happens, has always happened, and will always happen. And apostasy can only happen to a believer.

18 For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit; 19 in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison, 20 who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water. 21 Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who is at the right hand of God,

Not the act of (sacramental) waters touching the flesh - (water baptism) - but rather " an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection "

9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

Any idea what happens to the holy ghost when we reject the grace of God? Does it goes away?

Baptism is good for our faith, we participate in Christ Jesus death burial and resurrection. It doesnt frustrate the grace of God since many people are save through the liturgy, by the hearing of the gospel. God gives us many ways to make sure we are imputed of his finish of the cross. All of them, are by faith in his promise.

Colossians 2:12
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with [him] through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Not long after The apostle Peter proclaims that Jesus is the Christ that he actually rebukes Jesus for fulling His mission. The question is are we correctable/teachable. For the meek shall inherit the earth.

And when you say it is the will of God that we believe in the son and are baptized, remember that every line of the Nicene Creed was written to refute beliefs of other groups, many of whom believed in the son and were baptized, but did not hold orthodox faith.

That makes sense, our salvation is link within our trust in the gospel describe in 1 Corinthian 15. If we change anything from it. We believe in vain. Some stop believing in the bodily resurecction. Others that Jesus wasnt part of the God head. Others rejected grace and went back to the law.

I believe the sacraments help our faith, and renew the promises of eternal life to anyone who seeks them.

The Bible does not teach baptismal regeneration - see 1 Peter 3:21 Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

The person who is to be baptized has made an appeal to God for that clean conscience and it is that appeal - that is the moment of salvation - not the moment sacramental waters touch the skin.

Gal 5 says "you have fallen from grace... you have been severed from Christ"

Rom 11 says this
"20 Quite right, they were broken off for their unbelief, but you stand by your faith. Do not be conceited, but fear; 21 for if God did not spare the natural branches, He will not spare you, either. 22 Behold then the kindness and severity of God; to those who fell, severity, but to you, God’s kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off."
