General Whiting was appointed by Trump and it was just a matter of time before he was replaced by a Democrat-leaning political choice. So knowing what is coming he writes a book and gets himself dismissed. He can then use this as publicity for his book really. He probably also believes what he wrote so this is not entirely self-serving but was perhaps the best way to get his point across.
I was not aware that Gen Whiting wrote a book.

Actually, it was General Whiting (appointed by Trump) who fired Lt Col Lohmier.

"Lt. Gen. Stephen Whiting, Space Operations Command commander, relieved Lt. Col. Matthew Lohmeier of command of the 11th Space Warning Squadron, Buckley Air Force Base, Colorado, May 14, due to loss of trust and confidence in his ability to lead," a Defense Department official told CNN. "This decision was based on public comments made by Lt. Col. Lohmeier in a recent podcast. Lt. Gen. Whiting has initiated a Command Directed Investigation (CDI) on whether these comments constituted prohibited partisan political activity."

Your source at www.pacificpundit.com got its facts wrong. I guess they were confused that the Space Force has multiple people who are called "commander."

Imagine if those people worked over 100 hours a week every week sometimes over 24 hours without sleep in dangerous conditions, doing things that other people would be afraid to do, and getting paid far less than they could be making at a much easier job. Imagine if you got to see your family once or twice a year for just a few days. I think we should show a lot of gratitude to that group of people but there is always a few self centered people who do not appreciate anything that is done for them.

Just thought I would let you know, all the things that you are accusing me of not knowing and such, I am pretty sure that this post by you falls under the "you don't know " category. I mean, how can YOU speak for the entire military?

I didn't. But you did.
I am on active duty and there is no one, no one working 100 hours a week, week after week. NO ONE!
