I get my second Covid shot soon. My 2nd Moderna. I'm actually really looking forward to it because I hated the masks and never got use to the suffocating feeling. They don't feel good on your face unless it is really cold out side, or maybe you are hyperventilating.

I did really good with the first shot, but hear folks have more problems on average with the second one, hence the prayer request. I'm not too worried, but hedging my bets. I do hear however that Facebook and other social media has been actively suppressing news about adverse side affects with these vaccines.... :(

(Once in a while people have nasty side affects like convulsions and post videos only to have those videos removed right away). This of course only adds to the distrust with the folks that are leery about them since we are not being dealt with honestly and openly.

I am envious - right now my 2nd shot will be in mid-July (4 months after 1st shot). But I might be able to move it up. I politely suggest what facebook is suppressing is demonstrably false information; I doubt very much they are suppressing legitimate material about adverse effects. Best wishes, and try not to worry. I am convinced you are doing exactly the right thing.

Pavel, the second Moderna one is where you will get more side effects than the first, but it's worth it! :)

I had both Pfizer at the start of the year and that too was the second jab that knocked me for six over a couple of days. That said, some of my colleagues, notably the older ones, fared much better.

Yeah I'm expecting a little jitteryness, but more this time around. I had a hot flash thing that happened the next day for a minute and a half last time too. I'm going to try to lay low the next few days.

I'm praying for you! I had both doses of the Pfizer and like you I was anxious but I did just fine. Little tired the next day with the second shot but nothing bad and it was nothing unusual as I'm used to being tired and going on little sleep at times. I prayed all the way to the vaccine site and on the way home. Jesus will watch over you.
It's been four weeks since my second dose and all is well. What helped me is to stay away from social media and look at reputable medical, scientific and statistic sites.
I personally know a lot of people who have had the shots and not one I personally know has had a severe adverse reaction. Some have felt not so hot after the second dose the next 48 hours or so, but are fine and I know several who got the shots right away(health care professionals) It seems younger people sometimes get stronger reactions.

The second one is the one with the microchip.

:)

Jeez, I just saw the Borat special 4 days ago that had that joke/gag. I had to draw the line with the Hilary Clinton cameo though. I know that Hollywood is liberal etc. but I can only stand so much propaganda in my entertainment before I change the channel or look for other options.

Thanks all. Coming out of the gate, I think I feel a little better than the 1st shot. But we will see how that potentially changes..... if it does.

It's funny that Walmart gives you a complimentary box of Walmart facemasks as part of the imitative when ditching the masks was 70% of my motivation. But I guess, I have some to maybe give away to some friends who are dragging their feet on getting the vaccine. Or maybe to use for the next Bowl of Wrath to be poured out on the Earth. :)

But thanks for your prayers, advice, well wishing etc.

Wasnt aware of that one. I said it as my first jab was fine, but the second one they stuck the needle in my bone when giving it.
