No matter who is president it is a exception in flag code
(4 U.S. Flag Code § 7) if people want it abolished write their local reps to get it changed. if there is no honor in a flag code then what’s the point in a national flag code. It directly states if the two fall on the same day remains full staff.

Biden birdbrains messed up in the first place giving the order.

However, this year the day honoring peace officers coincides with Armed Forces Day, held on the third Saturday in May. And according to the U.S. flag code, “The flag shall be flown at half-staff on Peace Officers Memorial Day, unless that day is also Armed Forces Day.”
