In fact, one of the major "fundraising" efforts that helped give the PAC millions was advertised to pay for the legal costs of Trump's various court challenges after the election, with the small print saying most money was going to Trump's PAC. Since then, Trump has told his followers to donate to him, personally (which goes to the PACs he controls) and not to the RNC.

In fact, one of the major "fundraising" efforts that helped give the PAC millions was advertised to pay for the legal costs of Trump's various court challenges after the election, with the small print saying most money was going to Trump's PAC. Since then, Trump has told his followers to donate to him, personally (which goes to the PACs he controls) and not to the RNC.

I think some some percentage did go to the RNC - iirc, the lion's share went to Trump's main PAC up to the allowed limit, then the next percent (maybe 5?) went to the RNC with the pennies left over going to the advertised cause, Stop The Steal.

Initially, as the one article mentions. Of course, then after Jan 6, when he was criticized by several Republicans, he quit giving money to the RNC and now will directly give money to the candidates that support him and fight against the other Republicans.
