Well, "Christian virtue" was only ever a tool by which to attain power... Donald simply showed them an easier way.

Conservative Christianity was dragged through the mud in the process and the evangelical witness of this faith was blown to smithereens. It's sad to know that it's completely lost the moral high ground.

No matter what Trump did, he could never get approval ratings above the low 40's.

Never budged. He won't bring diversity to the party. The only new demographic he brought to his party in the past four years is QAnon, and QAnon has brought little to the table besides controversy and drama.

trump must have some juicy dirt on him.
Naw, I think it is just money. Trump's PACs are raking it in - especially with the surprise! opt-out recurring contributions.

He is not a Presidential contender for one.

Sounds like only presidential contenders can champion policies.

I knew the GOP would be lost without Donald, but sheesh... I didn't think they'd be that helpless.

There is no "high ground" in a swamp.

First, you crawl into it, then you con people into thinking you're going to drain it, then you take it over.

You're the one who said Graham can't champion Donald's policies because he's not a presidential contender.

...which is a sad vote of no confidence, as Graham was a presidential contender once, and, with a little backbone, could be one again.

Trump and his family need money for their many court cases. Raising money for PAC's that are allowed to spend money on such matters will continue to keep Trump at the center.

Gotta call you on that one. Please show a viable link demonstrating he is using RNC funds for lawsuits.

Where did anyone claim he is using RNC funds for lawsuits? If you re-read the post, you'll notice he said PAC's, nothing about the RNC.

How strange is it that one man, with so little to offer, has this much influence? It says a lot about the mind set of his supporters.

Have you seen Michael Moore's speech from 2016 where he discussed the mindset of Trump supporters? I personally think he nailed it. I would post it here except for the french language, but you can find it on youtube searching for "Michael Moore In TrumpLand: "Human Molotov Cocktail"

Himself.

PACs don't raise money for parties, they raise money for individual candidates.

You didn't know that? Good. You weren't supposed to.

As pointed out, PACs typically have nothing to do with parties. In fact, one of the major "fundraising" efforts that helped give the PAC millions was advertised to pay for the legal costs of Trump's various court challenges after the election, with the small print saying most money was going to Trump's PAC. Since then, Trump has told his followers to donate to him, personally (which goes to the PACs he controls) and not to the RNC.

I think some some percentage did go to the RNC - iirc, the lion's share went to Trump's main PAC up to the allowed limit, then the next percent (maybe 5?) went to the RNC with the pennies left over going to the advertised cause, Stop The Steal.

Initially, as the one article mentions. Of course, then after Jan 6, when he was criticized by several Republicans, he quit giving money to the RNC and now will directly give money to the candidates that support him and fight against the other Republicans.
