Pandemic, Deadly Vaccinations, Coverups--Not the first time

Reporter Mike Wallace, not exactly known to anyone as a right-wing conspiracy theorist, did a report for 60 minutes about vaccinations that were being given for a "pandemic" of Swine Flu, and he reported in this story what ended up happening to many people when they bought the narrative that they were socially obligated to "roll up their sleeves and get the shot". At the time, Mary Tyler Moore was one of those who would be considered today to be an "anti-vaxxer".

We are repeating history because we don't learn from it, even if we're only talking as recently as 45 years ago:

And now we have a cultural environment where you're seen as crazy or quickly labeled a anti-vaxxer for not wanting to take the covid shot. I'm not an anti-vaxxer, but I've never doubted the possibility that people can get injured from vaccines. Everyone's body is different and will react differently to what's being injected inside their body. That's pretty much common sense. And truth is, many do get hurt and some do die after getting shots.

I saw a tragic story once of a woman with triplets, (and I can't remember the specific vaccine she mentioned) but they all received the same shot at the same time. They were only a few months old. And she literally watched all three of her children take their final breaths after becoming slow in their movements, eventually stopping all together and no longer breathing. One died, and then the next until she was horrified watching her final child die the same exact way as their other two siblings. How is it coincidental that 3 children get the same exact shot and die the same way so shortly after? I don't remember the exact timeline, but it was a day or a few days after the shot. That's no coincidence. And the doctors flat out told her "the vaccine couldn't have killed them". So much for science I guess when we just begin rejecting peoples claims and don't take any time to at least investigate the possibility of a vaccine's possible harmful effects. I see it as blind faith in man and one coming to believe that man's medicine is some magical cure that will solve everyone's problems.

So at most a few hundred adverse reactions to a vaccine is much worse than over 5000 deaths a week due to a disease that the vaccine could prevent.

Yup, that is right, 5000 deaths in some bad weeks and over a thousand each week (usually more like over 3000 a week) for over a year.

And the video gives 20 million as the death toll from the 1918 outbreak. Most estimates are 50 to 100 million with 60 million dead being the most common estimate.

It certainly sounds like there was a propaganda campaign surrounding taking the swine flu shot in 1976, which was both unethical and unsurprising.

However, it sounds like out of 40 million vaccinated ~4,000 had the bad (neurological) reaction, or 1 in 10,000.

I do believe that the government and media are waging a propaganda campaign designed to encourage vaccination. While i don't believe their motives are sinister, i certainly believe that they're minimizing/downplaying the risks associated with the vaccine, as they are concerned primarily about bringing Covid numbers down, and not about giving Americans full disclosure on the benefits:risk associated with taking the vaccine. That being said, this story is a far cry from nonsense such as claiming the vaccine is intended achieve depopulation.

I have been from the beginning, at least indoors. Not that it does any good since I can't breathe through it and have to keep pulling it away from my mouth so I can catch my breath about once every minute. Sort of defeats the purpose of wearing a mask, but wearing it keeps me from standing out in a crowd of masked people.

Oh well, guess those who don't get the vaccine are doomed to be unable to participate in society for the rest of their lives.

The fiasco was not that the vaccine itself was a problem. 1 in 10,000 had some problem. 1 in 200,000 serious. I don’t see a death number but that would be a few per million. These are typical vaccine numbers. The fiasco was that it was pushed out to the whole population when no actual pandemic materialized, and that were lots of rumors. There is certainly a pandemic now.

I'm not sure who you are referring to when you say 'they'. But from what I've seen, most of those who are making decisions about vaccines have themselves been vaccinated. What do you mean by saying 'protecting themselves' and 'pretending to protect us'?

Same here. And I was a year out of college in 1976.

Not a very good propaganda campaign if I somehow missed it.

I do however remember people rushing for Polio vaccines well before that.

And the fact that thousands have died from Covid vaccines doesn't make them bad either. That's not the case being made. But it does mean that those who choose not to take it should have that choice respected. They're the ones who have to live or die by that decision.
