The allegations are not that he's a sexual abuser, but that he's an accused sexual abuser.

And he had indeed been accused -- by his own wife and children, no less. As for damage to his reputation, in the same GOP that embraced Moore, Gaetz, and of course, Donald... I'll leave that question to the philosophers.

Where is the malice? How are his wife and children his "opponent" outside of the circumstance that he molested the kids?

Are you saying that if a man molests his children and then the children and wife end up reporting it, i.e. alleging it, then that is "mudslinging"?
