One of my favorite webcomic artists has made a cute comic about a social credit system. They are taking t from the view of a Christian, but even as a non-Christian I do find some of the things they bring up disturbing.
Like government tied to corporations cyberpunk post-utopia levels of disturbing. With fuzzy bunnies!
A webcomic about a Social Credit system
At any rate, what you think of social credit systems? To me, they have always existed in one form or another via social pressure and governmental laws. Social credit is just a fine-tuned way to implement that pressure. But that doesn't make it right.
Controlling what people read or talk to or buy at that level in the comic is frightening. But with the levels of terror in the world today, I can see why some governments think this is a good idea.
