A Great Way to Outreach: Drive-by with Candy!

Who says outreach has to be boring??!!

Here's a great, fun video of my friend and her friend doing an outreach drive-by with candy to encourage and invite people to church. You'll also hear some scripture and a song!

Have you ever done a drive-by or walked a neighborhood passing out fun things for outreach? If so, how'd it go?!

20 years ago I went to a Vineyard church that had a food outreach to the poor of their county. Basically once a month, we went door to door to this area, we handed out shelf stable bags of groceries. We asked if they had any needs they wanted us to pray for etc.

Thanks for sharing the resource! Nope, had no idea about this. That's why I loved it so much!! It's the simple things that I think make the huge impacts.

We are always thrilled to hear about pleasant outside the box approaches like this, and agree 100 per cent this kind of thing is a wonderful way to make our efforts and outreach touch the community. Ministry should ultimately be a happy and joyful events, and practices like these help to bring this message home to the flock. While we haven't done candy drive-bys or giveaways specifically, we have done things like Easter Egg hunts and scavenger hunts more generally, and they've always gotten great responses.
