Yes, and Jesus says "every branch in Me" (John 15:1)
who does NOT bear fruit ... gets thrown into the fire to be burned.

I agree. I think you would like this video by Pastor Alan Ballou, brother.

You may also like this recent Christian film that came out on DVD & digital format at ChristianMovies.com. It is about a youth pastor who seeks to inspire his students to get serious in following the Lord.

Really a rare gem of a film.

His death as an acceptable sacrifice-reconciliation.
His resurrection life-salvation.

Romans 5:10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death
of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.
Baptism into His death to be raised with Him in newness of life=Salvation.
Romans 6:
4
Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was
raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be
in the likeness of His resurrection,
6
knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done
away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
Talk of Salvation occurring at the cross is a false doctrine.
Even as so many quote Romans 10? His death without His resurrection is a half-Gospel.

Romans 10:
9
that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that
God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10
For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession
is made unto salvation.
Belief In The Resurrection Is Essential To Saving Faith

He was born again. It was necessary even in the OT. That’s why Jesus chastised Nicodemus, because he should have known.

Do you think Noah was trying to be born again when he was building an ark?

If you were to ask Noah during that time, why is he building an ark, what do you think he would have replied?

You could say Jesus was born again with his resurrection. Fits with His teachings. What does that say about us other than as wannabees?
We are born from above as He was, with baptism.
Being wannabees does not fit with His teachings.

Mark 1:
9
It came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized
by John in the Jordan.
10 And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit
descending upon Him like a dove.

Our resurrection will be by His Voice on the Last Day
John 5:
28
Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice
29 and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.
30 I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me.

He wasn’t trying to be born again. He was born again.

And he might have said that he was God’s workmanship created for good works.

Do you think Noah thought he was saved from his sins during his life span on Earth?

Noah heard and obeyed His Voice, therefore was born from above,
Hence he is referred to as
"righteous Noah."
By obeying and building an ark, He was maintaining a conscience without offense toward God.
1 Peter 3:21 The like figure thereunto even baptism does also now save us, not the putting
away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

I don't think Noah was a theologian.

I am just curious about the extent to which Christians try to anticipate revelation when they reason to themselves that "Noah is saved just like us, he was saved by grace thru faith."

The most extreme case of anticipating revelation was when I heard this explanation "Noah knew that when he was in the ark, the ark represents Christ, and thus he put his faith in Christ, and that is why he is saved just like us". =)

I don’t know what he was entirely aware of.

God told him a flood is coming, and gave him instructions to build an ark.

He believed God, and his faith was shown by a work, when he built an ark (Hebrews 11)

That's all, he was not expecting to be saved from his sins at all.

But because of his faith, I believed Hebrews 11 implied that he is placed in Paradise, to await Jesus 2nd return where only then, he will receive forgiveness of all his sins (Hebrews 8:12, Romans 11:25-27).

Okay. Did Abraham believe the gospel?

Okay. Did Abraham believe the gospel?

Abraham believed God will give him as many descendants as the stars in the sky, as stated in Genesis 15:5.

That was the good news preached to him. Gospel means good news.

But did he believe the gospel?
John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.
He saw them from afar.
Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them
afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims
on the earth.

I said believed, as in past tense correct?

Don't tell me you are not aware of what the next verse, Genesis 15:6, says?
I know he was justified by faith. But was that faith in the gospel?
